How does your game fit the theme?
Most city building games are presented in a way as though you are helping build a city from the ground up. In real life however, real estate development often tends to destroy as much as it creates. I wanted to make a game that reflected that.

Did your team create the vast majority of the art during the 48 hours?

It took me a lil bit to get the hang of it, but once I learned how to play I thought it was a pretty interesting game. I liked the variety of cards and thought most of them were pretty unique and had their own advantages. I think this could work great if it were expanded upon further.

First off, excellent presentation. Not just the pixel art, but all the little details. How the camera moves from one building to another between turns, all the overlay effects, etc. Also I think this a great idea for a game. I'm into 4x games in general and would love to see how you could expand on these mechanics.

On the down side, you need a hefty tutorial section. These mechanics are way too complex to just throw the player in. I spent most of my time fumbling around. But I guess those are the limitations of a 48h game. Good job!

There is a lot of content for a jam game, well done!

It took me some time to understand how it works, but the texts, + signs & feedbacks are really great.

Feeling like a bad person by going toward the end goal, but I'm getting rich so it's cool! The intentions are greatly delivered ^^

Interesting idea in the sense that it feels like you aren't supposed to win as the game keeps stacking up against you, which ties in with the theming very well. I do think that the lack of a proper tutorial makes it difficult to get started, but the game makes a lot of sense once the purpose of each building is understood. It reminds me of Settlers of Catan, although I think it's just the territory-building aspect and also the shapes of the tiles. It's a neat game overall with a unique take on the theme, well done!

Brilliant idea for an anti city builder! The card system adds variety and its a pretty polished experience. Good job!

I love the idea and message of this lol, the only thing I would do is add a tutorial for easier understanding but once I got the hang of it very cool!

I've never seen a deckbuilder/city-builder in one game before. The game is quite complex with many moving parts, and I had trouble keeping track of everything. I'm impressed you made it in 48 hours!

Interesting concept! Could be bit more clear on the gameplay but otherwise it's very fun!

Really cool concept! It took me some time to understand it, but after that I enjoyed my time with it. :)

Really nice game with deep mechanics! It was too long though. i spent some rounds just doing nothing at the end. maybe you could simplify the card aspect and put the challenge in the level structure. And political comment in a jam ? that's new!

Glad you enjoyed it! My initial plan was to also have a second level with more tiles, but I had to remove it because there wasn't enough time to playtest it. If I ever get around to fleshing out this project, I'd definitely structure it to be more level based. Thanks for the feedback!

I LOVE THIS. The idea is amazing and executed so well. The game is a bit tricky at the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, it's WORTH it!

I love the idea of "upkeep" and undermining the city.  The game is difficult, but that's what I love about it. :) Great graphics and very creative.

The only thing I would change about it is that once you get to turn 20, the game turns very difficult. Awesome job!
