Very neat! Kind of difficult, but I appreciate the endless mode. I noticed in endless though that the 'Player' had a billion health, and I'm wondering if that was a change from endless mode, or if some upgrade really jacked up his health

Developer

That was the endless mode, just didn't want to make it possible to win after entering endless :D
Thank you for playing! :)

Interesting concept and the simple art works very well here. GG!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Very hard to win but so much fun to play! Congratulations!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! The easiest way to win is to either spawn the monsters far away and encircle the player, or just spam the stronger mini-monster :)

(Everything depends on the upgrades, of course)

Wow, that's a realy cool game

Developer

Thanks for playing! :)

my middle mouse button is borked :(

Developer

Thanks for playing! Must be pretty harsh working in blender without mmb... :D

Fun game. It was really hard to win but then I realized that there more monsters when you scroll to the right

Developer

Haha, winning using only the "first page" units would be a bit harder, but definitely not impossible ;)

a little more balanced wouldve been nice but the visuals and gameplay was overall awesome! Great work man

Developer

Thanks for playing! As i already said, I sadly didn't have enough time to do any proper balancing. Glad you enjoyed it. :)

Very interesting and with fun player progression. Awesome work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm glad you had fun. :)

Fun and addictive, despite you only placing enemies its satisfactory to see them all  flock to the player. There's also an idle like fun in seeing the amount of money you make rise. My only other comments are that hotkeys for the monsters would be appreciated, and perhaps a bit of rebalancing so that the 5000$ troop doesn't insta-kill.

Developer

Thanks for playing! The enemies aren't balanced at all (I wonder if anyone used the "+" shaped monsters? ) and the hotkeys would've been the next thing I would've added if I had time! :)

This was very fun! The exponential growth of money was very satisftying and it felt rewarding being able to afford more and more powerful monsters. The game might have benefited from having some more variety with its monsters types, rather than them all rushing to the player, but for 48 hours you did really well. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Adding more complex enemy AI was supposed to be one of the core features, but after finishing the basic enemy and player AI, I decided that it would take way too long :)

(I think I even left in an unused enum and switch to decide the enemy pathing in the code... 😅)

I beat it with 50 seconds remaining!

There's alot of variety and the balance from spawning monster and generating income is great to feel progression!

Having hotkeys for the monsters would be helpful since I needed to scroll to access all of them but aside from that I had a fun time good job!

Developer

Thank for the feedback! :)

I surprised myself and won on the first go! I don't think it was too easy though.
I agree with others that being able to see the stats for the monsters would have been great!

My strategy ended up being spawning monsters as far away from the player as I could so they lived longer, because I was imagining if they die they don't produce money.

Eventually I was rolling in dough, upwards of $600/second.
I did not experience any bugs or technical issues and it was quite easy to control. 😀

I appreciated the tutorial as it helped me understand the objective without making me read one huge wall of text, and gave me enough time to read and absorb each point.

Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm aware of the issues... I ran out of time before I could finish the enemy UI (enemy keybinds, stats, also balancing...

I'm surprised you liked the tutorial though, it's still quite a lot of text 😅

I've seen things in this jam that make me realize just how much required reading there can be before you play a game! 🤣

Mechanically it is super polished and works perfectly. It's cool to play in infinite mode to see how crazy the game can get. It would be cool to have a way to see the stats of each monster. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't have enough time to finish the enemy UI, but I'm glad you liked it anyway! :)

Very cool game!

Thank you for trying it out!

Really fun game! Unique idea too.

Loved that you added an endless mode.

Good work!!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing! The endless mode was an almost last-minute addition :) (I had to submit a little earlier)

Decent concept and the work on the ai worked quite well. The main things I would have looked for are a more zoomed out starting view and the summons being keybound to the number keys.

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback!

The concept is there, and the execution is decent.

Developer

Thanks for trying it out! I'm glad it turned out even half-decent with my skills :)
