How does your game fit the theme?
You need to rebuild your environment to scale it! (also, the level itself gets bigger on every "stage")

That was fun! A little janky, but the mechanics worked as-intended, and they provided an engaging rerun of the level. The drill seems a little too powerful as a permanent level skip, although I might be missing something. The character art is exceedingly charming! Good work!

Fun fact: just before the end of the jam we had a heavily nerfed version of the drill that was very limited. 15 minutes before the jam closed we decided that we preferred the broken but more fun version so we patched it back in last minute.

I love the unique creature!!! Very cute and interesting design.

Liked the music and the art and VERY interesting use of the theme. I think people generally interpreted scale as the player or player's ability, but the environment itself scaling and you having to figure out how to adapt was a little more unique at least out of the different things I've seen so far. That being said I do wish the totem usage was a little more refined, I tried to switch between ones to shrink but ended up having to bomb myself first (not sure if I was just pressing the wrong key) and not sure what the Eat was supposed to do. Regardless, still thought it was interesting enough to play to the end and Nunu is adorable :D

Spot on with that first comment! We really wanted to go for a different (and a bit riskier) take on the theme. We had to sacrifice a lot of polish to do it but I'm still really happy we went for it. Thanks for playing!

Level Design could do some work, the style is good, sounds are good, overall pretty decent job :)

Good idea and style

Cute game, absolutely digging the art - especially on the characters! Like others have said, gameplay could have used some polish, but so it goes with jams - final run was still pretty fun, and I just barely beat the timer. Nice work, y'all!

We enjoyed the jam process, and exploring the concept even though the final product could have turned out a little better.  Honestly I'm stoked that you liked it enough to finish it! Thanks for giving it a shot.

Great artwork!
I do wish the functionality was a bit better specifically about not being able to eat anything and the weapons/totems didn't seem to work well.
Impressive for such a narrow deadline though, that's for sure :)

Developer

Yeah I definitely here you there. To be honest this version is a vast improvement over the one just an hour before the deadline, but it's still a long shot from what we were hoping to achieve. Ah well, as you said it's a jam-if you aim high, you either hit something cool or  crash spectacularly., both of which are at least interesting.

Really liked the music and art. Needs some more polishe but overall experience was great. Congrats!

Loved the art and music, great work!

I really love the art style you used. This island vibe is really cool. I did have some trouble understanding what was going on and what the items did. Also I felt like the R 'eat' button was the use button? I got a bit confused there. Anyway congrats on your submission!

Developer(+1)

Yeah the thing is most items can be either used or eaten but then some cannot be eaten so for those we mapped eat to use too... It's a bit scuffed but we love it anyway! :')

Developer(+1)

Yeah, we kind of still ran out of time so we didnt going over the UI and tutorials! We will try to explain it in the description haha

Submitted(+2)

haha no worries, that's all part of the jam! still, well done!
