Very creative theming for the game! The dialogue was really funny haha. I also enjoyed the platforming puzzles, although I wish the mechanic of scaling the boxes was brought in a little sooner. Other than that, I think this is a great submission!

This is a very unique take on how you get your powers in a Metroidvania.

As others have stated, fine tuning the controls would take this to the next level

Great story, could be an interesting metroidvania, but player controls could be imporoved

Nice idea to collect bones. The gameplay is cool. The level design is nice but the 3rd level was a little bit difficult for me (It feels like the blocks are a bit slippery). Good job !

cute.  map design is entirely linear; I wish it were a bit more complicated, and the physics and movement are a bit clumsy, but the game is short, visually nice, and the puzzles and story are just interesting enough to not get frustrated by the imperfections.

The Skeleton truly deserved an origin story. Hurray for calcium! Well done!

i liked the collecting bones thing

I died when the skull picked up the bones and started walking without a torso. Hilarious!

i LIKE this.. super cool. i like how he jumps. reminds me of mega man with the legs.  i like the music. i assembled my whole body. i got the hat! wow. i wonder what cool upgrades are next but for some reason my brain is hurting trying to figure out how to arrange these boxes to get up that ledge. too many things to think about! your game design in this is nice, how the game progresses.... it works and gets the player excited for new abilities when we can see the new item..

Oh Fvck I love this! Too bad I'm bad at it.  I like the concept of building your character - literally.  I just couldn't get up the man passage. I've put this in my collection in the hopes you nerf the beginning a little bit. I want to see where this goes.

Collecting bones was great, but picking up stuff was really buggy

I made a game with this exact concept! I think you did it more fun lol.

Funny little metroidvania. Scaling more like skeleting. :P Great job!

Could you rate my game? https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2024/rate/2903767

Not bad. I liked the spin on the theme by gathering your own parts to gradually navigate levels. The mouse mechanic is kind of janky though. Dialogue is pretty funny

Really fun concept, liked how you implemented the "scaling" aspect of the character. loved the dialogue.

Keep making games
