Liked the idea when I started playing, but then seeing that you can use the scaling of the boxes made it even better!
Implementing one mechanic (scaling boxes) for different functions is really elegant game design, well done.
I thought the scale to jump mechanic was a bit hard to control timing wise, one way to solve this would be to divide it in 45 degrees angle to help on playability!

Developer

Thanks for playing, i'm glad you enjoyed my game, the scale to jump mechanic is like this because i have no idea how to make actual physics but once i figure it out i will definetively try your suggestion.

Definitely one of the best games I've played during this jam! Just the right mix of platforming and timing puzzles.

Neat! Having to time your jumps and changing box sizes in mid air is a cool concept!
I wish there was a key for it though, using the mouse is kind of awkward for some reason.

Developer

X and K can also be used instead of left click i should have made it clearer and im going to modify the page description to show all controls, can you recommend what key would you use to change box sizes for after the jam? Thanks for playing by the way.

Submitted

Being able to configure the controls yourself is the best option of course 😉

Otherwise I don’t think it really matters for me, as long as it’s not crammed too close to the movement keys. So my hands don’t block each other you know

One of the better implementations I've seen on this idea! I love that the box sizes changing gives you a boost!

Simple yet smart mechanics, I enjoyed playing it. Cute pixel art, well done :)

Thanks :)

Love your level design! I’d love to see a more refined version of this game. It's still a bit unpredictable, but overall, a ton of fun!

Thanks, i'll probably remake this game eventually, this game left me with things i want to learn like vector art and music so i'm likely to add those to this game

Super cute pixel art! I like how the BGM and the character's motion speed express the desire to escape quickly.

Developer

I'm glad you noticed this detail, i was afraid i chose the wrong song for the style of the game but im happy it worked out.

I like the pixel art, and the level design is decent. The concept of the game is silly too, in a good way.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I still have to learn a lot about platformer level design, i will probably rework some levels post jam.

i got an error
Error
The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing:
Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)
SharedArrayBuffer - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)

Developer(+1)

That's weird i checked SharedArrayBuffer i will probably make an updated version of this game after the jam with the latest version of godot that seems to have fixed the issue.
