This concept is great well done. You have already aknowledged the issue with the colours for accessibility but aside from that I think this is very well done. Great choice to include symbols and things to help with matching the cards. This deffinitely needs some tweaks and some polish but it is very enjoyable to play and will be fantastic with some work
Great entry! Should go without saying that it feels very polished, for a game jam game. Lots of juice and felt satisfying to play.
I also liked the interpretation of the theme, I wished more entries took this approach. It felt quite chaotic come the end!
My gripes with the game do little to diminish the experience - the text was a little too small for me to read and it felt awkward having to pause to go between the book and the game. I think that's just the nature of having the game in 3D though - I imagine an overlay toggle key or whatever would have felt a little unnatural.
Great job overall!
Very nice art and music! Cozy, relaxing and whimsical! Nice!
This is absolutely brilliant ! The style and polishing of the game are great and, as a potioncraft lover this brings back amazing memories. Great take of the theme too. Overall fantastic work !!
Such a cool and polished game. Loved playing it!
Absolutely fantastic approach to the theme! Enjoyed playing the game, loved the subtle effects and the look of it, just wonderful!
The game is so pretty, and it feels so good to click on stuff to make more stuff happen!
The visuals and sound design go together perfectly to create that reward satisfaction. It gets very addictive!
Although, I ran into a problem because of my colorblindness: I can't pass the 3 potions making stage, because I can't read some of the text that is on the book (it must be red or pink, I think? I have severe protanopia so red text on dark background is almost impossible for me to read) and the vials colors are really hard to tell apart, even with a filter on.
I know accessibility is difficult to take into account with the limited time in jams, so it's not really the team's fault, don't worry, I just wanted to let you know!
Especially since you took the time to write the color's initial on the cards to help differenciate them, thanks a lot for that small detail, it means a lot to people like me!
All in all, its a very good game, congrats to you all! =D
whaaaat this is so cool can't belive you did that in 96 hours
Really well done! I liked how the game progressed from just simple vials to then bigger potions. I'd love to see something like this expanded upon after the jam, great work! :)
I really liked how everything was physically present in the scene, without any UI!
It gets quite challenging when you start creating elixirs!
If you continue developing the game, try to find a way to make the formulas intuitive and easy to memorize. It would be so satisfying to become a skilled alchemist who no longer needs to use the book! (It’s probably already possible to get that good, but my short-term memory isn’t that great 😅)
Thank you so much for the lovely words! Yes, we really wanted all the info to be diegetic, but that came at the cost of readability in the book. I think with some proper balancing, it would be great to start memorising the recipes! We've played through it dozens of times now and only remember maybe 3 or 4!
The game is very pretty and the level of polish is really impressive for a jam game. Especially with all these animations and stuff.
Thank you! We are really happy with how it turned out!
Really nice visuals, and the gameplay is good fun to match! Unfortunately the text on the pages wasn't appearing when playing on my laptop, but I could get it to work on my phone which is pretty impressive in itself. This is very impressive for a jam, feels like a full and well-polished experience
Thank you! We have heard of a few issues like that. Does your laptop run Linux by chance? I'm also very impressed it ran on your mobile! We tried really hard for optimisation this year, but that was not intended! Ha!
Love how it feels like you really are there, flipping through pages and scrambling to create the correct potion to fulfill the order.
Why thank you! That's very kind!
Such a fun game! love the vibe of it and that you have to flip though book like you are actually in the shop! I think the only thing is the book flip takes a while to process but it is fun nonetheless
Thank you! Yes, we found the book turning quite satisfying, but it certainly needs some fine tuning!
Wow! Fab game, great work! It has a super cozy feel, the gameplay is easy enough to pickup and yet very enjoyable! The music and design style are also incredible. Great job!
thank you for the kind words! So glad you enjoyed it :D
The art is reaaaaally good! I had fun playing it though I would have liked a bit more theme-related content!
Our interpretation of the theme was scaling up a business, with the amount of tasks needing to be balanced to increase the difficulty. If we were to add more to the game, I'm sure there are more ways to incorporate it! But thank you for the praise, I hope you enjoyed it!
That was fun to play anyway :D
I really like the art style and the beginning concept! I had some difficulties to enjoy after it evolved to fast to try matching so many potions recipes, maybe showing less information would be creating a better pacing! The font also seemed difficult to read.
Thank you for playing! Sorry you had some difficulty. We were worried about the book being hard to read but that's why we had the option to zoom in on it. We wanted the player to be able to choose any recipe to make in the later rounds, but maybe there is a better way of showing all that information in a different way! Thank you for the feedback!
What a fun and simple game this is!! When such a simple mechanic can be fun and relaxing. Well done! Loved the music as well :)
Thank you so much! Thanks for playing :)
That is really cozy game, I would really like to see more of it
Thank you! We're glad you liked it! Cozy is the vibe we were going for :)
This is extremely impressive! The visuals, the music. Right up my alley!
We're glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the kind words, the artists will be happy to read your praise of their work!
