How does your game fit the theme?
Its a deck-builder where you use cards to place buildings in order to build settlements. The score required each round scales up so you need to scale up your ability to score in order to keep up, you can do this but increasing the scale of your settlements and even the map they're built on.

I loooooove these kinds of card games, super cute and cozy. The art is very crisp and the style is superb *chef's kiss* I loved the tutorial and that you could also bring it back up again. Well done! <3

Very cute and fun game !!

Really loved this- super cozy boardgame vibes and very satisfying scoring system, which makes it pretty addictive. Artwork is beautiful- loved my cute little gnome settlements. Amazing work :)

nnot bad

Nice game! The art style is super cute (I liked the shepherd gnome with the little goat). I had a hard time at first because, being a developer, I didn't read the manual, so I didn't understand buildings have to be next to each other. I think that could be easier to understand if you somehow highlighted the tiles that are next to other buildings... but that might make the game too easy.

Dragging cards was super smooth, I always have a hard time implementing mouse input! Can I ask wether the cards and the little area where the cards are are controls or node2d? I'm curious.

Anyway, I had fun! Good luck!

Developer

I think the only non-control nodes in the game are for particles. Getting the card motion right was a huge pain, happy to share some snippets if you're interested.

Sure! I spent quite a while just moving the card in and out of the hand to try to guess how you were doing it! Tweens / animations with controls can be quite a pain when you're trying to move or resize things without everything collapsing on you.

Really interesting and beatiful game, I like it. Gameplay and card effects are reminiscent of Balatro. Idea is good but balance could be better, cards which give citizens and jobs per every building in settlement are too powerful. I reached 24 round and enjoyed

Developer(+1)

Yeah, would've loved to have spent more time on testing and balancing but it was barely running till the final day! Lots to expand on after the jam though :)

What a familiar situation…

Wow, it's like a better-polished version of my own game.

It's extremely fun and addicting, and the art and music fit together in a really lovely way. I'm sure it's super replayable, but unfortunately for me, the game part lags heavily on web on both browsers I've tried (Edge and Firefox)

Doesn't stop the game from being extremely solid though! Probably one of the best games i've played for the jam.

i actually already played this prior to the submissions ending, quite a cute and charming game. completely forgot to come back to it earlier to replay and rate :P

Developer(+1)

We made quite a few improvements and fixes between submission and the deadline so it might be worth trying another run if you got in early :)

this is actually one of the few deck building games that i really enjoyed! i even downloaded the game to play it again later. a full release would be really great!

Submitted(+2)

That was a really nice deck building game! This could definitely be a full game that I'd buy and play every now and then. Like "Dorfromantik" but as a deck builder

Developer

That's great to hear, we've already talked a bit about expanding it into a full release if people are into it so this is definitely the kind of content we're looking for!

Feels very cozy, loved playing it

This is the game I spent the longest time on. I can get rid of my starter cards by discarding them twice per round, but it would be nice if there were more ways so they don't clog up the deck so much. Really fun and the art is so cute! A stellar entry!

This is my favorite game ive played through the submissions really enjoyable, after a while the fps goes down but a very cool game :D

Wow I loved that it has a boardgame feel AND incorporated a shop mechanic. I really enjoyed it! :)

It's nice to see another deck builder (especially a better looking one). The gameplay loop is super satisfying, though pretty harsh until you get more card plays. Also RNG can be devastating at times, but that's the thing with deck builders and also you did a lot to mitigate that (with rerolls and multiple choices in the shop). Great job :)

needed some time to figure out how to arrange the cards to gain points, but other than that the game is very polished.
