How did you make this in only a few hours before submission. That's crazy! Very cute little pet sim. Simple, but neat!

It’s like my Tamagotchi. I really love this idea.

Congrats!

Visually, I'm really impressed. I also think there are some useful mechanics that could be explored in a larger games. I would prefer it if

  • growth rolled over between cycles so that fertilizer wasn't only useful at very specific values
  • the fertilizer and water logic was fixed so that they can't both be toggled at the same time
  • the scrubbing was tightened up a little

Otherwise it's just a matter of creating different scenarios so the player is left to try to optimize the plant growth and this would be a really fun little game!

Developer

Thanks ! This really helps,I plan to expand on this game in the near future and I'll keep this comment in my minalote project ahaha it's always a big help when people give you constructive criticism, I'll also revisit the scrubbing mechanic,it did seem to be a annoying when I played so , thanks again!

For being made in a few hours it is surprisingly visually polished. Definitely like the style if the particle effects, simple but effective :)

Developer

Thanks ! It was my first time working with particles effects,I hope I can make physics based particle effects that react to the plant  next !

It's pretty good for a game that was made in a few hours. The aesthetic was very cute and well-done. I can see this being expanded upon.

Developer

Thank you !! I really didn't try for the art but it ended up being the most praised part of the game hahaha, nevertheless I'll try to expand on the game in the future when I'll have more time , thanks again!

The game looks so cute! I really enjoy the style.  Gameplay-wise I was a bit confused about the goal at first.

If it was really made in just a few hours, heads up!

Developer

Thanks !

if you really only spent a few hours on it I’ll give you feedback matching that (like won’t criticize lack of content)

the animations are quite cute and squishy, the checkerboard background is a good utilitarian hack to make the game feel less empty at the cheap/fast on the art department.

the choice of music funnily enough I think detracts from the game, it’s too good/solemn for the level of quickly put together game, makes it feel a bit out of place. sometimes it’s better to have a worse asset that matches the level of polish of the rest of the game than having something super nice that contrasts too much.

overall I’m glad you managed to get something out there despite the woes with finding a team, hope you get a better setup next time <3

thanks man ! i understand what you mean with the music feeling out of place, i think thats why i immediatily thaught of having a way to turn it off regardless of if I had a setting scene, thanks again for feedback !
