This was a very fun building game. I found an unorthodox solution to the final puzzle which was very gratifying for me. I wish the placing of buildings was a bit more fluid and that the blurred background wasn't quite so visually present, but I had a great time with Block by Block.
Really like the mechanics the sounds also were spot on, i felt like a kid playing with woodden blocks , really neat ! congrats on finishing the gamejam!
Quite the hacky solution I did, I must say, but it worked :p
I absolutely loved it, and the piece physics reminded me of our own entry (;
I'll have to give your game a try! Thanks for playing
Simple and well executed! Good job.
As always, controls are very difficult to properly implement in such a game, because of the depth.
But struggling is part of the fun :)
It was pretty fun to play. It was interesting how every object had physics and didn't just attach to a surface and stay there. However I am not sure if this in an issue for everyone but when I ran the game in browser it wasn't showing the whole game window. Small parts of it were cut out and I had to scroll to the sides to see more.
Pretty interesting idea either way.
This was a lot of fun! The block placing was actually implemented really well - despite the camera's perspective, it always seemed to be placed at the depth I was expecting. Also, the blocks had a good amount of friction, so things wouldn't go sliding off and everything felt very solid and connected. This was a cool idea, nice job!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for playing
Game freez after level selection, sad :c
Restarting the level should resolve freezes. Thank you for checking out my game!
It's a cute game with a simple premise but it fun to blocks and use other blocks to knock them down and just physics do its thing. I would have liked for the rotations to be handled by the mouse maybe holding right mouse button because there are times where I want to move to be able to place the block but was not close enough to my target.
Rotating and placing are kinda weird but thats what makes this game fun!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Strangely difficult, but a really hard idea to address in such a short time, good attempt!
Thank you for reviewing!
