Beautiful game! I love the pixelart and the color palette! The transition between fights is a great idea!

The gameplay is not revolutionary but it works. Difficulty it is more on the easy side (which is absolutly not a bad thing for a jam game!), as it is really easy to build an incredibly high defence stat before even starting attacking the first monster. It still kept me entertained for the time it took me to beat the boss!

Good job :)

Absolutely stunning visuals.

But pretty generic gameplay. Card games are difficult to make each card feel unique. Working with the two mechanics you have health and defenses, putting both effects on a single card could help. Even adding one extra mechanic, some kind of mana could help a lot. Where the smaller number cards have cheaper mana costs, it would really make cards start to feel unique. After that you get into more time-intensive ideas, like designing unique mechanics for new cards, or unique visuals.

Great work with the beautiful visuals though you certainly have that nailed. The cinematic black bars was a nice touch.

Thanks for playing!

We did want to add more outside of managing your defense, attack, and health stats, but we ran into a lot of issues with it being the first time we have developed a game like this.

Glad you enjoyed!

Damn the game feels really polished, really enjoyed the combat. Maybe a way to heal would have been a good addition. still pretty good.

That was a real fun card game for 48 hours! I loved when you finished a fight and walked past your enemies, and the widescreen black bars came out. Very cinematic and polished. The 1-6 cards were almost never used, unless i had no other cards, since they were outclassed by the 1-9 and the 4-8 damage cards,

We are happy to hear you enjoyed!

Yeah, we didn't have much time for proper balancing lol

There are some very broken strategies but hey, we had fun so that is what counts!

Pixel art is amazing. Even the art on the cards is really well done! great work.

loved the art and the music, although the cards were a little plain. i wouldve liked to see a little more depth (like something to do with the action priority) but overall, great game! very impressive in 48 hours.

Developer

We had planned to have an action priority but with other critical issues popping up we had to opt for a simpler approach to meet the deadline.

Happy to hear you loved the art and music, our artist worked tirelessly on it!

Concept was fine, there could have been more cards, but that was about it. Presentation and overall polish was great, especially considering the time constraints! The color palette was also dope.

Beautiful visuals and colors, wish I could play it but I'm on MacOS. Also hey from another western-themed deck-builder-style game!

Of all games I tried so far this is one of the best. If the gameplay gets a bit more depth (I see the potential), I would really like this as a mobile game.

I like the visual artstyle! The card-based gameplay is really cool!
