Beautiful game and creative idea! It's good to see a game so kind in the jam. Excellent job!
This looks amazing, and the song is great. I want you guys to finish it after the jam so so so much. It would be super awesome to see 6 different kinda styles for each instrument so when you see a number you can choose to give it to the bassist because you know the bass #4 is your jam. The art is so cute and I just want more.
I am sending your game to our composer also. We love making games with reactive music, and this is just so inspiring.
Please message me after the jam to let me know when I can play an update!
It is so heartwarming to know you really liked it :D we will definitely be adding to the game!
Games with reactive music is something that's new to me, but sounds so absolutely fun. Feel free to hit me up if you'd ever like to work on something together or just exchange cool stuff!
Thank you so much for your kind comments and support!
We were initially skeptical about whether we should do a music game. None of us had prior experience implementing rhythm and dynamic music related features in the game. But we decided to take the risk anyways, which cost us a lot of time (we spent almost half the game jam trying to generate music from MIDI files).
However, we have definitely learnt a lot from experimentation! We will be polishing up our game mechanics and making a update upon the end of the game jam.
This is soooo cute O w O
Music is really nice and relaxing fits with the visuals.
Sadly, mechanics don't really work for me, they aren't fun and controls feel clunky, sometimes dices fall from the table and you can't pick them up until they land on a table.
Shame you didn't managed to complete it in time. : (
Pretty promising, made me smile while playing with the cute art style and sound design. If you want some suggestions, maybe picking up the dice could be easier, faster, and of course, add more songs (and maybe even directional audio? Like drum guy's on the left so make it only be heard on the left earphone when wearing headphones). Clever idea, cut short by time!
Absolutely got you on the snappiness and responsiveness of the dice throwing! It'll improve the feel of keeping the band playing.
We're pretty new to implementing music, but directional audio sounds like a fun challenge.
Thank you so much for playing!!!
Great vibe, a bummer it didn't get finished because I really want to hear the rest of the song haha!
I was focusing on keeping the drummer alive, thinking perhaps he needed to be the last one standing to keep the time. I like the idea that by being forced to focus on different band members, they would naturally get lil solos.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing what y'all come up with in the future!
Once we can update our game, we'll be squashing the bugs and making sure the band will be able to get the debut they deserve!
Thank you so much for trying it out, it means tons :D
It's too bad you ran out of time, seems pretty promising, the visuals are fantastic and the music is great, just fun to hang out and vibe to. I'm not sure how much of the gameplay was left unfinished, the hit detection is pretty wonky and makes it difficult to keep throwing the dice, especially at the speed required to keep the song playing. But, frankly I could keep opening that game up just for the jazzy tunes and chill vibes those dice musicians give off haha, so well done!
I'm glad to know that you enjoyed the tunes! We had more tunes hanging out in the assets that we hadn't put in yet, so that's definitely our priority after the uploads open back up.
Thanks so much for the feedback - we'll crack down on all the wonkiness!
Sorry that you ran out of time. The game was really jazzy and fun while it lasted, and the presentation was on point!
It's okay! We'll have all the time in the world to fix it up when uploads re-open!
I'm glad you had a jazzy experience ^_^
P.S. I absolutely LOVE your game, was definitely one of the highlights to me!
Cool! I'll give it a look after the jam.
I'm glad you enjoyed our game!
I love visuals.Good job!
by the way could you play and rate my game?
Absolutely will do! Thanks so much for dropping by :D
Love the unique take on the theme and the adorable band members! Only wish that ya'll had more time to complete the game.
Love the vibe, the idea and the art style ! Seems like the only thing that was missing was time :(
Omg thanks for checking it out! Time totally did slip us by :')
P.S. I saw your game WIP in a tweet and was absolutely blown away!!! Already played and rated it!
Absolutely adorable! Wish you had more time to finish it ^^
Me too T^T we weren't able to make use of all the time available, but we hope it at least shows a glimpse of what we had in mind!
I'll be sure to drop by your game page!
The art is incredible. I love every die for a different reason. Overall I loved the concept of this and I can definitely imagine how a fun a full game would be! I liked the song a lot too. Really good job!!
Thank you so much ^w^ we had hoped to nail a jazzy vibe
