I just wanted to put this out there for everyone who played the game -- thank you so much. Your feedback has been incredible. This was the third jam I participated in, but the first one I really went all out on. Seeing that work pay off in the form of you all enjoying the game has been an amazing reward and I got emotional reading some of your comments haha. Thanks so much, congratulations to those that submitted this year, and stay tuned for post-jam versions of this game :)
A very fun game! I'm pretty sure I could play it for hours if I had the time.
Thanks for the feedback; glad you enjoyed it :)
This was a very addicting game! Really well done!
Woah, This game’s art is super cool, great work on the gameplay too. Awesome entry! :D
the concept is so creative and I enjoy playing this.
great job.
Really interesting take on the theme. Was fun to try to match the pattern and can definitely be used as some starting practice for making drum beats in music in general.
Really unique idea, fun gameplay!
Excellent idea! I played just a little bit (I'm at work right now and I just had some minutes free) but I'll try to finish all the levels after. But I enjoyed it a lot!
This is such a creative way of displaying dice, and the musical gameplay is accomplished so effectively! You could totally jam out and make your own tunes in here and I love that. I haven't played a lot of games that focus specifically on hearing ability to this extent so this was a fun change of pace that absorbed my attention! Well done!
Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Your last comment is something I certainly feel complicated about. I love music and I really enjoy the idea that this game could bring music production to a wider audience, but I also realize that it's not accessible to people with significant hearing loss and that's a bit of a bummer. Increasing the accessibility overall is something I'll certainly be focusing on in post-jam versions, but I'm worried that at the end of the day it might not be possible to make the game accessible for all players.
This game is really cool! I'm not a music person (at all) but was still able to solve all but the final level. I encountered a bug where the game crashed while I was solving level 5, and then when I went back with the level selector to finish level 5, it didn't unlock level 6, which was a bit disappointing but I still had a lot of fun playing. Unexpectedly my favorite out of all of the games I've played so far.
Oof I'm so sorry about that bug! I did quite a lot of stress testing and never ran into any crashes, but I'm not suuuuuper surprised since the tracks you program are on their own thread and I probably wasn't as careful as I could have been to make sure it was thread safe :X
Glad you enjoyed the game, thank you for the feedback (it really does mean a lot) and sorry again for the crash
this was a lot of fun, and a different way of making music than i'm used to, so pretty cool as a creative tool as well. i like the idea of using different characters as well. nice work!!
I love the idea behind this game! As someone who makes and loves music, this game was a fun way to test my listening skills. The incorporation of the dice theme is neatly done also.
Really cool idea. I wish I was better at it but my brain isn't good counting the beats when it gets faster.
Practice makes perfect :) Thanks for the feedback!
