Very unique game! I really like the concept, but most of all the artstyle, great choice and execution, good job!
Unique game! I enjoy this game, Impressive game in such a short time. Great job!
Feel free to check my game if you want to challange your brain muscle!
The art in this game is so unique! Loved the style!
Couldn't help myself just having one more go at this till I beat this! Art is crazy good, there is something mighty unsettling about this guys 360 degrees teeth... Had a ton of fun, and love how the music slowly builds the closer to that last stage you get!
Cool action gamble game!
What I liked?
- The gamble mechanic linked to the stats is really fun, sometimes I had to refrain myself to gamble in order to hope that I will get a better upgrade
- The art style is well made
- The sound design is great
Other comments:
- I would have liked to have a sort of "save system", which allows to avoid to restart from the beginning when you lose
Overall nice work!
I love that you can just gamble away your good stats. I often asked myself, do I try to go from 5 to 7 or is that too risky?
good job with this entry!
omg I really love the artstyle and the concept. Really nailed it with the theme!! Also great work on the enemy variety and level design
Wow. Just wow. Well done. It's unreal to see stuff like this coming out of a 48 hour jam. I hope you got some sleep at least!
I really enjoyed my time with this game. The art was incredible and really elevated the whole experience. The enemy variety was meaningful and well done, too. My only nitpick would be the first level. I died a few times before being able to upgrade more than one stat. Maybe starting with 2 coins on the screen to let players choose their starting loadout would smooth that over a bit. But once it gets firing, it gets going. I'm not usually a fan of big attack cooldowns, but the basic attack is huge, enemies always die in one hit, and the cooldown is well telegraphed. That's really important. Good job on the design.
Keep making cool games. Be proud of this one. You all rock.
Best take on the "randomized stats" idea I've seen so far. I like that you're able to choose when, and what stat to change rather than being stuck with something you don't want. The art style is also really good.
I knew SeaHorse from a while ago as someone who's a part of the community, Such a nice and wholesome person, Not long after i started joining his streams and one time when I joined his stream he was doing the GMTK game jam which i didn't know about then he explained it to me, and i found interest the in the concept of the game jam so i started watching and wasn't expecting so much because they had a short period of time to work on the game. I've seen the development process and gameplay and was shocked by how it was all put together in such short time of 48 hours, Great art by 2pfrog, such nice art style and nothing makes that better other than the god like coding of SeaHorse and all the programing and music which was all made by a group of four people under 48 hours.

I got laid cos of this game. 69/69
True and real
No but really tho (🤙🤙🤙) very cool, got me a little twisted while I was playing, absolutely not my type of games and I have no idea how those games work on a deeper level but something like this expanded and improved and balanced I could see capitalizing on some percentage of the Vampire Survivors success, idk maybe I'm completely wrong. Anyway I enjoyed it very much. although after my blind playthrough I played some more and did notice how many coins actually drop, but that's understandable for a game jam. Very nice!
This is a really fun, yet challenging game that has amazing art, only suggestion is mabye to make the level transition speed and player movement more fast.
Great game!
Was the player speed too slow even when upgraded?
Amazing work on the art for this game, the gameplay experience was also nice and fun! The only suggestion I can think of is make the level change transition a bit more faster :)
Absolutely bravo. If I could give any feedback I think tokens were actually too plentiful - maybe not having every single enemy drop them?
Yeah we thought about it but simply didn't have time to playtest a better balancing system so we chose to go on the easier side.
makes sense! For what it's worth that resulted in me having a great time :D
absolutely incredible. favorite game I've played yet this jam. i'll fall hook line and sinker instantly for weird hand-drawn art, and I loved the enemy designs, especially the 4-pip dice. I also loved having to gamble for stats while under pressure.
my girlfriend also found it really interesting that the attack stat increases the size of your attack rather than its power. I also think it was a really good move to make any damage reduce all your stats, meaning you won't get to roll high right away and never worry about that stat again. all-around amazing.
if I had one suggestion I'd say to try keeping the player under more constant pressure so they have to gamble under pressure more often. I found I could keep some 4-pips around while I gambled since it's easy to find a safe spot where they'll never hit you, and it definitely slowed the pace a bit
