Once I got the gist of it, I loved how strategic this felt with your moves! There is a nice dose of luck with the moves you get and dice positions, but rearranging them gives you a degree of control which is so clever with the way you used rows. The fact that even the enemy you attack is decided by a die adds yet another layer to keep track of and the poison attack was a pretty clever hazard to deal with. Cool art too! Its a great game all around. :D
This took me a while to figure out how to play but once I got the hang of it I had a lot of fun. The presentation and art style is top notch and really cool:) Definatly one of the more creative games!
Had a lot of fun:) Well Done!
Amazing visuals! The dice manipulation was quite fun once you get it. I think before applying the Rotate, Flip, etc, to the dice, the player can see how it turns out. because it wasn't very clear for me where it rotates, flips, etc. Yet, it was quite enjoyable!
The visuals and music are amazing! Was a bit confusing at first, but then got bit easier! NJ
The dice manipulation is a very clever idea and I felt planning the turn was fun. Presentation is very polished. I run into the freezing bug but otherwise enjoyable experience. Nice work!
The art, animation, and sound are great. The gameplay is really smart too, I wasn't getting it until one turn it clicked and I really liked planning out elaborate turns, and it felt really good when the plan works!
Title screen is fantastic, gives a great first impression. When a game starts up like that, you know you're going to have fun!
Love the combat system. Fascinating blend of tactical RPG combat and puzzle game. Lots of interesting stuff to wrap your head around.
Music is great, although maybe a bit repetitive after playing for a while!
Sound effects are mediocre, but they get the job done. Better than nothing, and with more time I'm sure you could replace them with very nice sound design and make this even better.
The game mechanics are a bit confusing to figure out, but very nice once understood. Having the explanations of what each action does in the actual game instead of as a screenshot would have helped. Although I did like how it was a bit nostalgic feeling like I had to step away from the game to go read the game manual!
Overall, extremely wonderful game! I'd love to see this combat system implemented into an RPG.
Bonus: Other ways this could be built upon:
Have items or abilities that you can use once per combat encounter, right now everything only matters for that particular round.
Add multiple party members.
Put characters on a grid and add a color for movement amounts.
Character creation which affects the types of dice you get and numbers that are on them.
Very clever! Incredible that you were able to make this in such a short amount of time. I found it to be quite challenging and required a lot of thinking and concentration. My only feedback is that it tired me out pretty quickly because of all of the thinking required. If there were a way to make the game more simple it could help, all-in-all it's a great submission that looks very polished and professional!
So good! Love the level of strategy that goes into maximising die values whilst spotting and utilising opportunities for matching rows/columns. I found it fun and rewarding to look for ways to optimise each turn with the limited moveset I had at my disposal.
Utilising the die grid for everything is excellent game design, I especially loved the implementation of choosing a target which had to be prioritised on turns I was aiming to go on the offensive.
The art style is very strong, with some brilliant monsters - the dice monster especially, which is just a perfect design for the UI!
The game is really good looking. And the music is well done too.
It is a bit difficult to get what is going on though.
The monster that store the dice is amazing, and overall the art is very colorful and nice to see!! The gameplay is well explained in the tutorial in the page
Great game, I enjoyed playing it. All 5's!
Unfortunately it did crash on me at lvl 3 :/
This game feels so polished! I like how the controls and gameplay are so intuitive, but the skill and strategies needed to play optimally are very complex. The game plays great, and I had a lot of fun playing. Great job!
It took me a minute to figure out what was going on with the flipping and rotating of dice but once it finally clicked the game was a lot of fun! Each level was it's own little puzzle of trying to maximize damage. I especially liked how when all dice had the same number there was a multiplier added to them. Adding in items made the game super unique too. It feels like this type of combat system would work very nicely in a mobile game. Overall fantastic work!
