Fun concept! A couple things made this challenging to play. First, the isometric controls (a problem my game suffered from too haha) make it difficult to know which button will rotate the cube in which way. When formulating a plan I'd often botch it by having my character make an unexpected move. The other (common problem in this jam) was not being able to see the hidden faces of the die which adds more cognitive load. Aside these minor points about accessibility, I LIKE the idea a lot. There's a good amount of planning and strategy to be explored.
Thats a nice and fun strategy game. Need to think well before start action. Im glad you even have some time for add a tutorial for your game. Help me to have a good experience while playing. Nice work overall ^^
Cool Concept and graphics , I actually played this game for a while , I think you nailed the scene and atmosphere , Good stuff Overall !! :))
My two braincells were thoroughly challenged. The idea was really solid though, but had to restart bc the AI got trapped in the corner by me and the block. The isometric view was a little hard to get used to. Other than some issues with the menu being out of view when it wasn't full screen, the presentation was great. Overall, great job :D
Good use of the theme. It is challenging to win ... err ... hit at all, but I managed to defeat the AI :) I would love to have a better AI, mine got stuck in a corner.
Very confused as to why I couldn't move at first -- turns out the board is randomly generated, and I happened to get unlucky and was blocked in on both sides at the start. I figured it out when I refreshed and tried again.
Really good, but I would love to see some explosion damage on the projectile. Without that, hitting the opponent was tedious and the AI which often did random moves into the wall did not make that nicer.
But past that, the concept was really nice and you did good job overall
This has the makings of a great multiplayer game. The AI unfortunately needs some more work at the moment, but thinking about how to land my shots was honestly brilliantly designed.
The biggest issue I'd say is the view and controls. It's hard to tell where "up" is and where "right" is because of the isometric view. But I understand you need the isometric view so the player can see multiple sides of the die. I can't think of an elegant solution off the top of my head except maybe allowing the player to move the camera. Overall, you did a great job! Thanks for the experience.
Super fun idea! I enjoy how both movement and shot range are tied to the face value you roll. My only real suggestion would be to consider how to better telegraph the controls (given the isometric game board). Great work!
The game looks really good and the gameplay is cleverly thought-out but one major problem makes the game almost unplayable and that is the isometric camera and the rotated board that makes the controls feel super counterintuitive and awkward to use. It is sad since I think the game would be great otherwise. Another minor thing that could be improved upon would be to make it clearer for the player to know in what direction you will shoot.
Yeah controls are a problem.
Player always shoots in the direction of last move, but I agree that some pointer would be nice. Thanks for your comment!
Good game but the mechanics need a little bit more work but good work for the time frame, good job!
I like the concept but there are 2 glaring issues:
The isometric camera makes the control unintuitive
I don't get how far the bullets will fly, sometimes I get a 5 and the bullet will fly one step ahead and sometimes much further than that.
Still great idea, good job on your game!
The bullet always flies by distance determined by dice. If by the end of your turn you get 5 - the bullet will fly 5 cells. If you get 1 - the bullet will fly 1 cell.
And I agree with isometric camera, controls should've been different.
Thanks for your feedback!
Super creative idea. I love what you did with the theme. I think the mechanics need tweaking though; right now it just makes me frustrated that some rolls are just 'filler' because I have to hope the enemy randomly moves to a workable tile.
Game has a very cool concept and design. The only tricky part is remembering what point of the die is where and the direction you are going to try and hit the CPU. The CPU feels like it does more than 6 moves sometimes but maybe that's just me? If I could see how many moves they have left, that'd be nice too. Otherwise it's a very fun game!
Bot should move by the same rules as the player. He'll just bump into walls for a long while sometimes, it doesn't count as a step. Thanks for your comment!
Cool concept, very puzzley =D
Interesting concept though I can barely hit the other player that barrage of bullets you commented would be nice. It also looked and sounded nice good job :)
This is a unique strategic game! I wish there were ways to make attacks easier (since hits have to be very precisely executed). Maybe power-ups or teleporters, etc.?
Initial idea was to have randomly generated arrows on the field. They would fire a barrage of bullets in their direction on distance that is a dice value. But I didn't have much time. So maybe in a future version :)
Great game, I'd love to see a PvP version!
Yeah PvP would be great
This game is pretty ingenious! love the ideas!
