Cool concept! I think adding some constraints like only having a certain amount of a certain type of die could add another strategic element to the game—otherwise you can just do something like roll evens again and again and form some easy equations. I like the idea of having dice with negative numbers, and special dice that can modify them too. The special dice are particularly powerful, maybe they could be given to a player when they successfully fill in an equation.
That's a really good point! In the actual levels, we were planning on having the type of dice available be limited and the equations needed to be solved require using different dice. Also yeah we were gonna add a completely negative die and different variations of special dice. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Cheers :D
Interesting concept, very creative, very cool art style. This is a very niche game b/c math, and not everyone will enjoy it, but I think you did a great job!
Maths... why did it have to be maths. Make it with words and I would've given this game a bigger enjoyment rating ^^ But still: I like those kind of puzzle games! And to be honest: I want this on my phone, yesterday. Please, without ads but cosmetic microtransactions. My dice wear hats! So, yeah, this game has big potential in my opinion. 3/4/5
Stay crunchy.
I spent 15 mins trying to clear a board without junking a dice. Very cool concept. I felt like I was making meaningful decisions about what dice to add to my rolling machine. There's good design space to be explored here. What was the plan for the levels? Would some of the grid be pre-filled?
Thanks for playing and leaving some kind words! The levels were going to test the player based on how well they can use numbers and how well they can use the dice given to them. Some levels would have pre-filled numbers, while other levels would be completely empty but with interesting formulas. In addition, the player would be limited in each level by the types of dice handed to them, so you won't get all 5 in every level.
Nice game! Controls could be a bit smoother, but great idea and good take on the theme. Would like to see a more fleshed -out version a bit less dependent on luck (same as ours :P)
It has a lot of potential and it feels like it would be an amazing game if given enough time. I think I found a strategy which is just to constantly use small dice but don't know if it's good or not. Overall quite a fun game which has a lot of potential and really polished as well for the time limit we were given. The power dice symbols had no explanation to what they do but it's understandable since you didn't have that much time. Still with the amount of polish this game has and a fun concept, it's a very good game. Good luck on the jam!
Thank you so much for playing and leaving in-depth feedback! As for your strategy, it would work only in certain scenarios. Different levels would only allow you to use certain dice so you might not always have the smalls dice with you. We also plan on updating the game after the jam ends and adding a proper tutorial and a few levels. We're glad you enjoyed playing. Cheers!
Nice game. Good music and sound effects. Feels great to play. Good job!
Cool game concept, combining maths knowledge with the twisted of randomness
love how you have control over the randomness and as such can develop strategy! well done friend!
I like it. Its simple, but fairly polished for what it is. I don't think I would have wanted to play too many levels anyway, so I wasn't bothered too much by it being incomplete.
A fun mechanic/concept. Would like to see how other levels would have turned out. I really like the UI design!
