Heads up it didn't work for me in the Itch app, but ran fine in Edge!

It's a fun concept but there's too much going on! And trying to fulfill 3 customer's orders straight off the bat (And the timer still going down while I am in the menu I think?) makes this very unforgiving!

I think if you tune it a bit there's definitely a fun game here!

Fun concept but the game is quite laggy and the timers are to quick I think

Nice little time management game! Reminds me a bit of Overcooked. With some polish to the controls and maybe more variety, I might've played this a lot longer...

I think the concept was pretty good and unique, but i couldnt really make the dice because my hand would just move off of the screen whenever i held down the mouse button in the catching part :(

Edit: thanks to the dev, i finally got it working as intended :) This game REALLY reminds me of Overcooked! But, i found the game to be a bit hard, the orders go too fast for me. Really good game though! One of my favorites in this jam :D

Developer

Yeah, bit unfortunate that I didn't program boundaries. But you should be able to get it back by holding the other button. It moves left with the left mouse and right with the right one!

ohhhhhhh, thanks! :D i updated my review

It's possible to just yeet your hand so far off the screen in the catching game that you need to wait equally long to get it back. That forced me to refresh the first time, as I didn't entirely understand how it worked. I think making everything fully mouse driven would've made it easier probably.

Other than that, you made a great little time management sim though! Good job!

If you added some cookie clicker automation stuff, this could be a really nice idle game too if you decided to go that direction.

Thanks! Some choices were indeed a bit unfortunate, but I'm happy you enjoyed it!

Really fun management game after a bit steep initial learning curve. I would recommend ditching the key presses and make this work with mouse only.

Developer(+1)

True, would've been better for sure

Oh man that was a chaotic experience to start, but overall it was fun! I used to play tons of diner-dash style games and this gave me a nostalgia sweep. I really liked the music and design of the game overall! I thought the mechanics were fun, and I played for quite a while before noticing...

As for feedback: Like some other have pointed out, switching between keyboard and mouse inputs felt a bit un-intuitive at times. I think hard committing to one or the other would have been better for sure.

Given more time, I think the game would've really benefited from a tutorial. This would totally help with some of the confusion people had with the controls as well. With this type of gameplay, it's super easy to be overwhelmed initially. I'd say even something like a ramp-up period (longer timers, fewer customers) to start would make the experience more friendly as you start!

Developer

For sure, all you're suggesting makes a lot of sense! Thank you for playing and I'm happy to have been part of your nostalgia boost!

Nice little game! I kind of wish I could just do everything with my mouse, maybe with some left/right arrows on the sides to switch between sections.

Developer

Was my original thought, I shouldve maybe looked at it some more

I need to say it's very fun to catch these spheres haha
But the controls for choosing witch type of of cut really should accept mouse, numbers are so confusing :( Still, the game looks pretty nice, and the customer models are very well made.
Congrats, nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I definitely agree with the difficulty of the controls

While the game itself is interesting and fun, the controls are not intuitive at all. In fact I would say I have never seen such odd way of controlling things.

Dicing dice, now this is creative!!! As others have mentioned there's a bit of a learning curve but when you get the hang on it it feels really satisying and just great!

Sweet work! :D

Very addictive. Had to come in to the controls first, but was quite enjoying it after.

Bit confusing at first but strangely addicting and good gameplay loop
