Pretty simple, you move, you attack, you defend, but each needs a dice.
It's plenty enjoyable as it currently is, but definitely needs more variation.
Would've love to see this expanded more as the core gameplay is already pretty solid.
Congrats on finishing the jam !
Really fun gameplay. I think the manual dice rolling kinda gets repetitive after a bit, and it gets confusing after a while since the dice start at 1. Maybe a different color for unrolled dice or a ? symbol could clear things up. Also it was unclear to me that the player needs attack and to walk over an enemy to kill them.
Really nice concept. I really enjoyed the dice mechanic; felt like I was playing a board game (especially thanks to the animation)
Great job!
Very fun game, it just took me a while to completely understand it.
Nice game, pretty fun to play
Nice visuals, nice music too! But, i did get a bit confused on how to defeat the beasts... Still a fun game! NJ
Great graphics, the feels are very good (music, sfx..) and the concept is original!
I had a hard time getting the hang of it enough to win but I enjoyed the game!
It's a fun concept, the balancing is a bit weird though.
Great graphics and nice concept, enjoyed it a lot!
This is such a creative idea, and a very polished game. Easily 5 stars, good job :D
Nice work! I love the idea and it was pretty easy to understand the mechanics. I did run into a bug where I used my last dice and didn't get anymore so I had to restart. Overall good work it was fun :)
Fun concept but you have some tweaking to do because if you spam defence you can't be killed ever, I think there would be more fun if enemies would not spawn infinetly but there was some enemies per lvl
Difficult to get the hang of it for me. Controlling the player does not feel intuitive for me. A training level would have helped or building up the difficulty by spawning enemies based on the level (i.e. 2 first, 4 second).
Valid feedback! I will definitely improve that with an update in the future. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!
Fun and cute game, creative mechanic, gj!
Very cool little strategy game! Having all your actions use the same pool of resources is very elegant and leads to interesting choices, and I think getting to choose the order in which you use your six dice rolls is a very healthy amount of randomness that makes the player still feel like they're in control. My only real critiques are polish things that I'm sure would have been addressed given more time, like having more UI elements to make the game more clear, and I agree with the other commenter that having the die roll automatically would have been convenient. I think it could also be interesting if the enemy actions were dependent on dice rolls. Nice work!
Haha yep, didn't manage the finish all the polish alone unfortunately but you are totally right! Thanks for the feedback.
Amazing art! I really loved the game until it stopped working when I ran out of die... I really loved the idea though :D
Looks like you found the bug! Couldn't reproduce on time by myself :(.
The idea to put every input down to a controlled chance is interesting, but it seems you cannot lose as long you have a die in the defense slot each turn.
Love the art style. Interesting take on the mechanics! It started to feel a little tedious clicking on all the dice after a couple rounds, so maybe it needs the ability to roll all the dice at once, then spend them?
But where is the fun in that, who doesn't love to roll dice! In all seriousness, you are totally right. Should just have made it 1 button.
MAN, the art was ammmmaaazing!
the juice was sooo epic, and the sound fx were epic!
Tho still a bit hard, maybe show the player where the dice would lead them? like highlight the square maybe?
but hey! i enjoyed it sooo a solid epic game :D
