Thanks a lot for your comment. It was very intentional indeed. Funny, I have played Portal 2 weeks ago.

My idea behind it was the following: we always associate dice with randomness with which we let a game decide the outcome for us as we dont want full control to keep things fun. In real life some decisions are so difficult it feel like it would be easier if I could just roll a die and follow the outcome. That's what I wanted to incorporate into the game.

Love the vibe, love the game. Great job on how the mechanics tie in to each other.

The art is really amazing. How did you approach art (i.e. idea, creation, implementation) during the jam?

I like the looks of it a lot! Relaxing game. It feels like I am playing with my blocks as if I was 4 again.

It is not so related to the theme though, the die could have been a ball too.

Liked the idea. Nice that you had the time to add a tutorial. The die rolling itself and killing me was frustrating. It feels too random and hard on me. I like the idea of curses that was posted below. Also, pickups might have been nice to get some life back after 3 -2 life rolls.

Difficult to get the hang of it for me. Controlling the player does not feel intuitive for me. A training level would have helped or building up the difficulty by spawning enemies based on the level (i.e. 2 first, 4 second).

Pure awesomeness. Looks great, feels great, nice replayability. Love it.  Like changing my dice, like being able to upgrade. This game kind of really puts creating a game into a different perspective for me. Really, all 5s.

Found that I could quickly jump to reset the first die in combat. Furthermore, with the healers I could just heal fully back to life and build up some stats to continue my journey.

Like that bullet trails. Like the powers a lot. Enjoyed that I could start thinking about strategies.A bit difficult to remember the weaknesses of each enemy and hence about what I can handle with each reload.

A screen with all the info on how it works would have helped a lot.Noticed that enemies cannot reach all places.Spawn points tend to surprise me. One second there is nobody behind me, a second later I am hit.

However, really great fun game! I truly enjoyed it :D

Really nice looking game!
I did not really understand what the goal was to be honest...

It feels like a fun arcade game with the nice sounds and graphics.

I did not really get how the dye ties in other than the title.

It took me straight back to old browser games. I could see me playing this at high school.

I did not know what the dice did. Furthermore, the aim was way off.

It feels very polished, Respect that you managed to get that within the time.

I got really confused because the die does not resemble an actual die in the sense that both sides dont make 7. Other than that the levels were a bit simple but I could see quite some potential with new mechanics.

Fun concept but it was quite difficult for me to understand the goal or the options. Maybe it would have helped if some (more) people tested it for you?

Really like the idea of actually 'rolling a die' and phyically creating a new random world to play on.

Nice game. It reminds me a bit of the board game 'Roll player'. I like that you actually took the time to create multiple enemies.

I would like more information from my enemy. How much did I hit it for? What did it roll?
Having to drag 6 dice every hit becomes a bit of an effort at the 3rd enemy.

Awesome take to the theme! Really enjoyable to build up my own level. The sound effects and the enemies are really fun. The whole game (looks, sprites, sounds, name) feels really connected. One of the best that I have played. Great job getting that all done in a weekend.

Thanks a lot for mentioning this Maxxxxxxx. I just made the game public :D

I also tried opening the file with 7zip, but that does not seem to work. I used WinRAR to create the file. You can extract it to a folder without opening though.

Really, thanks again!

Oh man, I finally get someone to look at my game and then it cannot download? Is it the download that does not work or is it the file you cannot open?

I tried downloading it and it works. I tried opening it and it works. And I tried playing it and it works. I used WinRAR to open it.

Surprising take to the theme. Neat presentation and it does really take me to the old Pokémon feeling.

After a couple of battles and bad rng (damn you Frank) it becomes a bit frustration.

Great presentation. I really like the art that you created for this. Really like the deeper meaning approach.

I did not really get what to do with the dice that were thrown. Tried it out a couple of times but it did not really become clear to me.

Really like your take on this. It is similar to my take on the theme (getting different levels based on your die rolls), yet you made it much more direct by using the die to create your path. Really like that idea and hence I think it comes across better than mine. Like how you gave it a dark-ish theme and the sound that you used.

I like that you added multiple paths. For more player progression I was thinking of adding dice for skills too, and enemies using dice too. I think this would work for you too.

Cool that you made all of this artwork! I think it is fun that you combined several games with a dating simulation.

It felt like not all interactions worked well. Same for the games.

Fun idea. Nice that I could choose my good numbers. I like the pixel art, the music, and the animations.

I kind of miss a goal in the game other than seeing the outcomes.

Really love the artwork and the atmosphere. Great job on this! It's fun that you combined several mini-games this way.

It was a unclear for me what the method was of selecting the dice. A small introduction would have helped here.

Nice take on the theme. I can see fun puzzles from this given the complexity.

The die control feels good. Quite some levels too.
