The idea for this game is sooo cool, I really loved it! Extremely original and out of the box. The atmosphere and visuals are very well crafted and nice to look at. I had some minor issue with orienting myself at first, but that was not so bad when I start moving a little bit slower and looking at my surroundings. Nice job!
I hate horror games. As soon as i saw you played inside of a dice, I'm like oh no... there is so much they can do with the vision limit.... Very creapy vibe. Loved/hated it. Didn't play much, 15/15
That is AWESOME! Make player not a dice, but in the dice is very kind idea.
This game is has incredible atmosphere, even though it is a bit hard to orient your dice properly.
Great job! Hope to see more games from you!
Thanks! We'll do our best.
This is INSANE how did you make something so quality in 2 days!? The dice blocking your view makes for such a claustrophobic experience while playing.
Thank you!!
Okay, I was a bit scared to play it at first, but I would have skipped my favorite jam entry so far! The concept is really original (I mean... "Horror FPS dice roller" is a group of words I was sure I would never say in my life xD) and the execution is flawless ! Visuals are stunning, controls are really good, the atmosphere is incredible... I just cannot rate the audio, since I played without my headphones to avoid the "sound jumpscare" you told me about (thank you again for that).
The ending is a bit confusing, but overall, that's an incredible piece of art. And done in 50h ! What the hell, can I borrow you your DeLorean for the next jam xD ?
Congratulations !
Wow, really appreciate the kind encouragement SpicyFrog!! Your comment made our day for sure. It took us a while to come up with the concept and glad it paid off.
Really enjoying the mood and look of this game. Also very creative approach for this theme. I just didn't know exactly what I had to do once I landed on the cushion with the big alarm clock. Didn't understand where to go from there.
Thanks for the kind words! It's definitely our fault not making a few mechanics clear enough. Game ends either when you leave the room or die six times, both of which have an ending!
Ah thank you for explaining. I think that if something inside the die changed every time you lose and respawn, the "bad ending" would have a more obvious lead up to it.
I didn't played/noted the game yet, but I truly HATE jumpscares/image or sounds suddenly popping... Are there any ^^' ? Or is this just an overall creepy atmosphere ?
There is one place that has music suddenly playing, although most people don't get that far. If you're just rolling on the desk then there isn't any!
Thank you for your answer, I'll try the game while staying on the desk then, and remove my headphones if I want to go further =) !
Incredibly moody. Fantastic result considering the short amount of time you had to make this. Surprisingly difficult to navigate when you're stuck in a dice. :D
Thanks a lot!!
True horror! Great job! Definitely worth downloading full screen desktop build. Amazing scary atmosphere.
Aww that's very kind, thank you!
Nailed the atmosphere!
Thank you!!
Unique concept, I really like the restrained vision from within the dice. I think being able to to lean to the edge to see more of the outside would would be a nice addition because i did feel a bit directionless.
Thanks!! That's an interesting suggestion.
Very cool conecpt. Being in the die made me feel claustrophobic and disoriented which are good feelings for a horror game to convey.
Maybe the level could use some more landmarks to orient, because I felt like I was walking in circles (or squares I guess) most of the time
Glad you like it! We'll definitely keep working on the level afterwards.
I didn't expect to see a 3d horror game in this jam, but I like it. While playing outside on my laptop, it was hard to see what's going on. The side with 6 eyes did not have holes, and when I hit the floor it was game over, but that's basically all I figured out. Maybe I should retry on my desktop with headphones and more brightness.
We definitely recommend with audio! The side with 6 holes is intentionally covered to help you hide from danger.
Super nice atmospher, and I love the presentation and limited field of view. However, it was a bit frustrating for 2 reasons: it was unclear what to do when the steps start: Move out of the way, or do nothing – neither seemed to work. And being reset when getting caught was a bit annoying after several tries. But really enjoyable otherwise!
Totally agree and we have added some instructions on our game page to hopefully clearify a little bit. Definitely something we're working to improve on after the jam ends!
Incredibly atmospheric and immersive. very spooky. Really an amazing game!
Thank you for the kind words!
Really unique take on the theme and amazing presentation! I like the idea of using the dice pips to obscure vision, but I feel that it might obscure vision a little too much since I got lost a lot. Maybe add some visual indicators in the world to show where to go (or make the dice slightly transparent)?
Thank you!! We'll definitely try to incorporate more visual indicators, just got to make sure it fits and doesnt break the atmosphere. We did try transparency at some point but wasn't too satisfying with it tho.
