Slick visuals! The animations look great too and love the format of different challenges presented on each side! The randomness aspect is used well here with the difficulty, my only suggestion would be to give the boss more telegraph time on the red whip attack, it felt like I barely had time to get in a single attack before I had to rush back out and have it hit me. Once it started the red whips before the previous attack even ended! I feel like that one is disproportionately more difficult than the other attacks. Otherwise this was quite enjoyable!
Really like the visuals! The game has a nice palette, and neat animations.
The global idea is cool. A dungeon with several mini-games on each face, it's pretty nice to explore. Unfortunately most of the challenge face the same issue: imprecise hit-box. :p I was frustrated a lot of time because I was hit by something that did'nt look that close, or because the range of my sword forced me to take a damage. Combined with the punishing difficulty, it makes the game a bit too challenging.
Also I didn't saw the difference made by the effects. Some way maybe too subtle. And most of the time I was focused on surviving anyway. There are also some rooms I didn't understood very well. Like the labyrinth with walls, or the one with the Operation room (I mean the goal is clear, but sometime one piece start next to the electric bar and is impossible to move, other time I got hit for apparently no reason). There's a lot of ideas, but some don't work really well with the rest and make the game more confusing. Since I died a lot, I didn't have time to familiarize myself with a particular room before having to learn a different one.
But the game was still nice to complete! I particularly appreciate that you can skip some rooms to only complete the one that seem managable. It was a fun dungeon to discover, quite challenging, but in the end still beatable. Good job!
Thank you for the feedback!
An improve version will be on its way after the jam to fix some of the issues you spoke of.
Beautiful art, very polished, fun to play, check all box's
Thank you, it's a pleasure to read this!
I really enjoyed this game! I liked that some sides are puzzles and other are combat-focused. Also the art and sound design are great. I loved the little Uno cards! Good job!
Thanks a lot!
An excellent entry, it was a pleasure to test. Very juicy, good art and sound design/music, and I liked each side of dice - except the one where you have to push items in their respective holls, which was a bit long and easily softlockable. But that is actually the only weak point I managed to find during my play test, and this isn't much. Conclusion: you guys submited a great entry :D
Thanks a lot!
Yeah this puzzle really need an upgrade ... we'll try to fix that in post jam!
Nice concept!
I like that there is some replayability in the game, and it won't be always the same things to do each time you play. It makes it way less painful to lose!
Also, I really like the aesthetic! The art is really nice and the music fit the action very well!
The challenges are all interesting and fun, except for the one with the walls and numbered buttons, I never understood how to go through the walls!
Also, the challenge with the objects to place in the correct spots can be a bit frustrating when the object don't go in the right direction.
Last thing, at first I did not understand that I needed to get a certain number to win, and I lost by clearing every room. Maybe you could make the number required a bit more obvious at the start of the game.
Good game overall, well done :)
Thanks a lot for your very long review!!
We'll try to update the game in post jam to fix all theses issues.
For the room with wall, you need to enter it from the good side to press the buttons which will destroy the dominos that have the same number (we know it's not well explained at all, apologizes us...)
Thank you again for your review ^^
Cool game. It was fun, well-polished and creative too. love it
Thank you for this comment!
cool concept and art. i like it
I quite liked the art and the concept. Walking on a dice is a really neat idea. Got frustrating at times with the room transitions.
Thanks for the review, we will update postjam to fix the frustrating moments
Wow! One of the best games so far! Really polished and good-looking. Love it!
Thanks for these kind words 👍
Great style, really good job !
Really great! The idea is very original and the amount of enemies and puzzles are really impressive.
I wasn't sure how to solve a few rooms, maybe a short explanation for certain rooms would help.
Good job!
Yes, there is a lack of explanations, an update will come post jam. Thank you!
Very polished cool game !
great idea and very polished!too hard for me =/
A wonderful style that I've not come across. Love that each side of the dice is like a level from a dungeon!
Thank you for your comment
Very cleverly made. This took a little bit of time to realize what I have to do but the music and graphics and the overall style are great.
Thank you 😁👍
Kinda hard but really polished game with good graphics and a good idea.
