Great art, lighting, sound effects, and music. The gameplay itself left a little bit to be desired, as it mostly was an RNG at its core, with the only real gameplay element deciding if it should be life or dice paid to the monsters. Nevertheless, there was something kinda satisfying about it, and I did keep trying until I won (about 4 play throughs). The last little cutscene could have been more interesting, but it was neat from a developer perspective to see that the hallways was super long (I assumed it was being looped over and over).
A cute little experience. The cover screen is definitely enticing among the other games on the submissions page, so the marketing portion of this game does its job. Nice work :)
This is a fun little game. I really liked the concept and the gameplay and the art style is really good. great entry all in all
What a fab game, really enjoyed the concept of either beating them with limited dice, or using your actual health -- added a lot of strategy and suspense! Cute little guy and mobs too! If you do build on the game in future, it may be good to have a bit that shows what number you roll when you move (as I never really knew til I stopped); and maybe also put how many spaces you have til the boss -- this may make people further stratergise and do more risk-reward strategies, which I think is the strength of this game! Great effort. :)
Thanks for the elaborated comment. Those suggestions are great and for sure I will add them after the jam when I revisit this game, as well some other things like other types of dice and new levels.
Nice concept and implementation. Love the atmosphere and style. There are some minor comments on the scaling and lighting setup of the characters in the dice roll scene, but it's not that critical.
Would be nice add some kind background instead of solid color with fog.
I like your game/
Thanks for your comment, as this is my first 3d game, I was a bit unexperienced with some details, as I learned doing this game for the jam. For sure I will improve this aspects in the future. Thanks again!
Nice job with this! I wish I knew early on that I should've maybe accepted some damage sometimes to save my dice for the last boss. As I generally used all my dice when necessary to avoid damage only to not have enough at the end. But it was a fun little board game style game! Great job!
Nice little concept, I love the "push your luck" aspect to the combat! The game in general could use a little polish, I would love to be able to see what number I rolled when walking on board for example. Overall a nice little game!
Interesting concept, loved the choice between luck or life and the tabletop feel of the game. Great Job!
Furthermore, Best name!
The games interesting and well made. I just wish the player had more agency with how they overcome the monsters. Definatly creative and not like any other game ive played so far:)
Well Done!
Really cool interpretation of the theme! I like the spooky atmosphere and how you can 'compensate' for bad RNG by using life as a resource. The 'press to roll dice' was a little unclear at first though.
Also it has the best name lol
Glad you like it and I agree. Best name!!!
Really simple to pick up! But it has enough depth to make it fun and meaningful to play! Nice work :)
A nice little game, with the "pay with life" option making this not a completely choiceless gambling game. A lot of my complaints are UI/UX issues (e.g. it would be nice to know how far there is left until the end - I didn't even realize there was an end until I read the description page) but of course as a game jam game I can't complain too much about that.
thanks for the advice. That's a good thing to add for sure
Cool concept!
A little unclear how it works at first, but it has potential!
Also best name 👍
Interesting gameplay mechanics. Some runs feel impossible from brutal RNG though.
I was a bit confused by the gameplay, but I like the direction is is going! I enjoy the spooky style as well. Nice work!
