Really neat use of theme. I love the pixel art though I wish it had music to go along with it. Some instructions would be nice. I just had to press stuff until I figured it out. It was fun trying to survive while repairing the ship. Good job.

I really loved the art on this, especially for the game page. It was great, and got me to play it. Some in game instructions would be appreciated, and more feedback on what was happening. The first time I saw the lightning arrows, I walked into them thinking I was supposed to go there. I also got soft-locked by clicking play again, and dying immediately which meant I had to re-open the game. The concept was sound though, good job.

Developer

I'm glad you liked the art! I had never really considered that the arrows could be interpreted that way, so thanks for letting me know.

Easy to understand game, though I did find it a bit uninteresting at times with no animations or sound. The most compelling part of the gameplay for me was definitely running around and repairing the ship after the tsunami since it forces the player to engage with the environment and obstacles. I would definitely suggest incorporating the work/repair feature into more of the gameplay.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely agree, none of the hazards other than the tsunamis make the player move around much. In the future, I may make the tsunamis happen guaranteed every 5 seconds, and then layer other hazards on top of it.

The concept is really excellent, however, I think it could be improved by adding sound. Great work!

really like the concept (and appreciate the game supporting mac). a minor bug/feature i found is that after dying and pressing play again you start with your ship in its broken/modified state

Developer

Yes, after some looking around I realized that I was only resetting the main 60 second timer (and not the ones that control hazards) when the button is pressed. I believe the bug is fixed now, so I will post an updated version when the jam is over!

Very good idea

Nice game, I enjoy the pixel art style. While there were no instructions it became easier to understand by the color coding you put within the game. Nice job on UI. Wish the play again button worked. Overall good job.

I really like the concept! I do think it could use some sound though. It would improve the feel of the game a lot!

Developer

I agree, getting struck by three lightning bolts at the same time would be much more threatening if you could hear it!

Nice art, but no instructions, play again button doesn't work on death screen

Developer(+1)

Thanks for trying it out! I was actually working on an instruction page today, it just didn't get finished in time. I plan to update this game in the future, so I'll make sure to fix that bug with the play again button.

I'm really glad hearing that, I'll be sure to revisit the game please update asap! Thank you for your dedication!
