I like the aesthetic of the game, the movement gives me early fps vibes, Wolfestein 3D especially I don't know if that was intended

Developer(+1)

I went for a doom like movement, so yeah

Very spooky atmospheres, one of the enemies actually jumped me lol. Nice work!

The atmosphere is nice and the idea really clever!  It's really satisfying that you can escape the monsters by jumping to another universe haha.

Sadly I had to stop after 6 ankhs, as those kind of old FPS views give me a headache :' (

But I as said you did a great job!

I've never played a jam game that does atmosphere this well.

Developer

Yours does! :D Thanks for playing

Although the game is very bright and the monsters don't look terribly scary, there is still a certain amount of fear in this game. I think it comes from the music, the narrow hallways and the thought of being trapped all alone with a monster. I really like this kind of horror atmosphere! It's also very good that you didn't implement any jump scares (unless i missed it), because I just think they are boring in any horror media. I also like the retro aesthetic. Turning the camera felt very clunky for me though. Overall a pretty great submission.

Monster encounters are truly terrifying!

Cool atmosphere, I shifted into the flower creature once.

That retro aesthetic is really great and the game has nice eerie atmosphere. As for the gameplay itself - nothing too spicy, but I guess the main dish was the vibe :)

The vibe!

a nice game similar to slenderman. Thanks for not making this game in the darker area :D

I also loved shader you used thats make it exactly like a ps1 style game Great job ^^

Pretty cool to see a game that looks like a 90's shooter in the game jam. Definitely had a solid atmosphere and made me feel like I was playing a 90's shooter with the lack of strafing.

So scaryyyyyy!  I feel nervous and excited when I playyyyyy

Submitted(+1)

Soo... It's like Slender the 8 pages but with parallel universes ? That cool I guess.

Also I love how the monsters react when they see you, they scream like if they died at 90% in a Geometry Dash level, lol.

The ambiance of your game is really working, I was fearful to encounter one of your monsters! Great job! I would change the encounter music for something less "action" and more "thriller" maybe. Great job!

Very well done! I was always scared of accidentally plane shifting right into a monster. This game gave me several jump scares.

I enjoy horror games, and this is definitely good for a jam game. I got more nervous as I got closer to collecting all the objects. Having cose calls after turning around a corner and scrambling to run away while waiting for the die to finish rolling definitely makes the game intense. I especially liked the enemy animations when they spot us.

Very fun game! I jumped so many times when the enemies were right around the corner. Good job!

Nice game! Definitely a little scary, though running away isn't that hard with the dice mechanic, a cooldown of it would have made it a lot harder.
