Really good strategy game, made me think a bit about my moves. The art is really good too but no audio :(. Overall it's an impressive entry!

I made the same puns when brainstorming for our own game, haha.

Even though it’s a prototype, the game feels quite polished! There’s strategy involved AND the player’s choices matter, so I enjoyed it a lot;

Definitely an interesting turn based strategy. which to be fair I was not originally treating as one, but is a pretty cool twist on one using your finite dice to essentially plan out the movement sort of AI puzzle like which leads to some interesting combos if done right.  Especially with the simplicity of dice allowing for some pretty simple comboing.

It's got an interesting final goal I'll be very keen to see when it's not bugged, (or maybe first, we'll see).  As well as some interesting enemy variation that can actually pose a challenge depending on what they are, though a little vague on exactly how they do with the minimal stats.  Such as the fact that speed only pertains to the distance travelled, but there's no mention of number of rolls etc.

Some sort of enemy preview could maybe help clarify which way they are planning to move, although it could be a bit much I think it could help with some of the enemies that travel quite far constantly.  Though since there's no range (out of what I saw) it isn't too bad since they're not warping then launching a barrage from range sorta thing.

Overall though a pretty well polished and interesting setup strategy game.

thanks for playing the game on stream! sorry the evil wizard was a lie (at least for the jam version). most of the bugs have been fixed in the update. i'll work on expanding enemy descriptions and explaining mechanics like enemy movements a little more. maybe i'll add a short optional tutorial on the first level. thanks for the feedback!

This game is cool! Sounded like you already had some ideas for taking it further and I look forward to some of them being implemented! Great work!

Developer

I really like the simplicity of the art style. The animation is really cute and the concept is really creative. Keep up the good work

I really like this, the movement and attack ordering are so tactical!

Fun gameplay and mechanics, honestly really fun to play even if it had a few crashes. I see we both had the RPG mechanic idea but I think you did yours a bit better haha.

the bugs were really unfortunate but i'm glad you had fun.  i played your game as well and i enjoyed it too!

Very cool strategic game! Enemy and skill variety works well! I reached level 14 and then got error message

Developer

thank you! sorry for the bugs. i didn't get to playtest it past level 2.  but i'm glad you enjoyed it.

Game looks amazing, great concept on the theme

I had a lot of fun with this, but didn't finish because of a bug (if you charge lightning after all the enemies are dead, there is no way to discharge it).

Are the levels procedurally generated? Because some battles felt a little repetitive. I think curated levels with different numbers and formations of enemies would make the game more engaging (and there is enough randomness with the rolls).

Developer

sorry for the bug! my friends found it as well (among other bugs). enemy generation is procedurally generated but the formula was put together at almost the last minute so i didn't have time to test how it feels (and yeah it feels weird after more playtesting). it's a miracle the game works for the first few levels lol but anyway, thanks for the feedback!

A fun and interesting take on the theme. I also enjoyed the pun on the name "Hyrule Warriors"

The art together all looks really good and the mechanics to it are tricky but great!
