Since it's a retro style game, I really recommend going all in into nostalgia. Pixel graphics, maybe achieved using a rendering filter of some sort in order to still allow for the freedom of movement and aim present in your game while having a unique pixelated art style. Play really hard into that kind of audience it can be something great IMO.
Aside from the audio, there weren't any bugs I found personally, although I wasn't trying to look for any while playing it. It seems to play just fine!
Very very pretty and creative! The idea of using the dice as either attacks or supportive abilities was really pleasant. and the graphics were downright gorgeous. nicely done! I just wish there was more feedback on hit, in addition the difficulty gets too high, and because the enemy bullets are too fast you cant just 'touhou' the enemy bullets all that easily. Still fun though!
Neat game, I just wish the random oxygen mechanic was put more to the forefront in some aspect. I didn't even notice it was a thing until after I finished the game. Still fun regardless, and there is definite potential here for a full on project. With more dangers to the player and a harder lean into the unsettling atmosphere, I think this game could get really big - especially on YouTube. Good job!
Thank YOU so much for the nice comment!
I was originally planning on adding an ability / item system akin to the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games but the time constraints got to me haha. I will definitely take note of the ability die mechanic for when I come back to this game post game-jam! Perhaps I could have ability dies with different abilities on their faces that can be found in the world and equipped. So many possibilities!
