For the ones that are confused about what to do on the first level. Maybe this can help.
So every level is about getting a single block to a target position where the directional blocks will crash into eachother which will destroy them. If all directional blocks that blocks your path are destroyed the exit will be free. Every room has the same target position for the block (aside from being rotated and flipped) The way to get the block there varies.
You can't waste any moves or else you won't get the block there in time. Now just move around to wait for the directional blocks to destroy eachother
That makes sense!
However, when I play (on the Linux build) I don't have 3 blocks there, only 2 (and actually, my memory from last time was that I had only 1 block, but I could be remembering wrong):
Maybe it's a difference between the Windows and Linux builds?
Haha. It's random you know. So you never know what the first puzzle will be. It should be different every time you start the game. The concept is the same.
Oh, interesting. How do you know they are all solveable? Does it generate them in reverse? I must be REALLY terrible at puzzle games because I just don't see the solution to either of the versions of this level that I've seen... :-(
Actually it simply chooses them from a list of rooms that I have already created. You will be taken through all the rooms, but they will be placed differently.
Ok, I restarted the game 4 times until it gave me a 1st puzzle I could solve. :-) Interestingly, it was the water first this time, instead of always fire on my previous restarts. But then I couldn't work out a solution on the 2nd puzzle. I think the verdict is that I'm just terrible at puzzle games...
This looks really cool, and I really like the simulation with the elements that plays out. However, I wasn't able to figure out the first puzzle in the fire room. I'd love to see a video play through of game if anyone has the time? Based on the other comments, I guess I'm missing something simple, but there seems to be only one block I have an effect on in that first puzzle and I already tried everything I can think of to do with it...
I made a comment where I try to explain what to do now. Hope it helps
Fun game, honestly I couldn't figure out the first puzzle, maybe if I committed more time, but I really enjoyed the narrators comments and positivity.

Classical game logic and brain-challenging! Fun! Reminds me of "Chip's Challenge" - Microsoft Entertainment Pack for Windows 95. Long gone my childhood :(
Cool idea :) I liked the flavour text you added with the NPCs :) It was mostly a smooth ride determining what had to be done and where.
super fun and cool tbh :D
really cool, love the idea of a cellular automata puzzle game. The puzzles could get a little be repetitive but the dialogue was absolutely phenominal. Nothing can beat someone telling me "I think you look ugly as hell"
Cool game, I enjoyed the opening dialog. I was a bit confused about what to do a lot of the time though.
Cool and, most importantly, happy little game. Though I'm terrible in games like this, I really enjoyed the funny dialogue.
