Great art and music! Nice mix of procedural generation and narrative, although, the dungeon did get repetitive and drag on after a while. It might have been nice to just make it smaller, or add more variety to spice it up over it's large size. I like that you had a party and the different play styles.

The gamepad controls didn't really work, because you have aiming on the right stick, but then attack on a face button, so you actually have to move your right thumb off the stick to press attack. It would have been better to have one the right paddle/trigger as attack. Anyway, the keyboard+mouse controls were fine.

Really impressive result for a game jam!

Developer

Strange... i mapped the attack also to L1, and it works with my gamepads :/ (i only have 2 different kinds)

Ah, I might not have tried L1 because I was expecting either R1 or R2 as the natural attack buttons. So, not as bad as needing to use a face button, but I still feel like one or both of the R's would feel better. :-) Great game in any case!!

I just double checked... You're right, L1 does attack!

Well, i always play with (mouse and) keyboard, so i'm very unexpirienced with gamepads :x

I'll consider this for the next game!

When you play on Windows, play the Debug file instead of the normal one.

The gameplay and the world generation is really well executed and kept me playing for quite a while. Though the font makes it very unpleasant to reat the dialogue. But all in all, really fun gameplay!

wow the story and the pixelated characters were really nice

The characters pixelated look cute, and the UI is quite intuitive! I don't mind the poor readability of the font, that won't hurt my ratings for this game. This ARPG needs some brain power to play! Well done!

Developer

Thanks alot! it was quit hard to find a font that is usable at a resolution of only 240x135.
I'm very happy that you enjoy the machanics! :D

Nice graphics and audio. One thing: The font is a bit hard to read

Developer

Thank you!

i had a really hard time to find a fitting font. That was the only one with very low pixelcount and more or less good readability.
With all the other fonts the charakter-count per line was too low. Next time i'll aim for a little bit higher resolution, so this is no problem. (i like BIG pixels, omnomnomnom)

Debug build runs great on windows :) Really fun game! I love the way the other team members will run off to fight enemies and grab potions on their own. I liked the music, too. Great stuff through and through.

Developer

Thank you, i'm glad you like it! <3

I think you forgot the pck file for at least iOS - haven't checked the others.

Developer

For Linux and WIndows it is embedded. Mac should work too, because it should be automaticalle embedded. I'll check when i'm at home, but it can't test MacOS...

Hm. Well, if that's the case, it doesn't even open. But the error looks a lot like when the pck isn't showing up - which is to say most errors that cause it not to even be able to run look more or less the same. :P

Have you tried the debug-version?

It seems, that Godot 3.2.2 RC2 is  buggy and the Release-Export does not work properly.
I tested the Export on 2 different Windows 10 PCs. On both is the Release-Build crashing, but the Debug-Build works.

EDIT:

if nothing works, you can also download the project-folder and run it inside Godot itself. (3.2.2 RC2 required. 3.2.1 does not work)

The game seems fun, but I cant play the game keeps crashing ; i'll test it later if you need time to fix it !

Developer

please try the debug-version. It seems to be a bug in godot 3.2.2 RC2.
