I’m just going to echo what everyone else said about the controls, but other than that, it’s a great concept. I like puzzle games, and the graphics were actually pretty good!

Developer

Thank you very much! :))

I think I will repeat what everybody already said, the controls feel uptight. The goal is clear and I had no problem figuring out that the "walls" are keys to shoot at. Also, the fact that you guys made a cinematic entry was top-notch (don't remember seeing many of these during jams). Overall, if you could make the control more responsive and give the minimap more info (at least all cakes pieces), I am sure the game will flourish quite fast. Good work!

Thank you very much! I wanted to carry the level of quality in the intro to the game ui as well, but unfortunately, ran out of time. Game jams are hard eheh

Looks realy cool, but I didn't figure out what to do. I got one cake in one of the first room but everything else was either empty or locked. There were these strange unexplained dots. No idea.

Unfortunately the Controls and Credits menus aren't working so there was no help too.

BUT it looked really pretty. I had some fun only flying around the world!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Okay thanks for sharing. The dots don't do anything right now indeed, since time ran short.  Same for credits and controls. You only need to use the laser and laser target, to complete the game, but it is a bit of an exploration puzzle with locked doors.

Thank you very much! I still have a long way to go about managing time. I wanted to walk the player through the game a bit better, but preparing the assets took a lot of time :’)

I like the story and presentation, and i like the overall atmosphere where you mix the ominous strangeness of space with some humour (cause you are searching for cake afterall)

Only issue for me was that the aiming feels a bit akward to align just where you'd want

also shame there's no sound :( but small issue considering the rest is really good

regardless, cool entry :)

Developer (2 edits) (+2)

Thanks! Or music guy had no time, and we had no one assigned for sfx. But we also wanted to be physically correct, since you can't hear sound in space.

Any suggestion to make the aiming better?

Submitted(+2)

No problem that's totally understandable ^_^ and yeah if you wanted to go for realism it makes sense that there's no sound.

For the aiming i think to have it be more precise i'd either go for mouse aiming or if you want to have controller compatibility maybe go for a twinstick type of controls and i'd probably remove the "spring - y ness" that straighten your aim automatically.

Then again your game your vision  ! just my opinion XD

Thank you for your input! We run out of time pretty quickly eheh. Gotta work on the time management, I work full-time so gotta use the time better… :)

Submitted(+1)

Don't worry that's perfectly understandable, a week passes by pretty quick when making a game even more so when you work full time on the side  :)

Pretty cool game
