Game Description
Blast asteroids and spoopy space ghosts in this Godot Wild Jam shoot 'em up, developed in one week!
How does your game tie into the theme?
Unlimited energy comes from the Dyson Sphere around the sun. But it isn't all sunshine and rainbows - somebody has to do the dirty work to keep the solarpunk society running. That's where the player comes in.

I really liked this game (One of my favorite games is time pilot which this reminds me of). The graphics were great, the controls were solid. Wish there was some audio in the game but overall I think it's a great start and was definitely fun to play! Great job!
Thanks, glad you liked it! Definitely will introduce audio in the next game jam. :)
Great work! Surprised to see this was your first game jam. I think the addition of audio would really elevate your game but I really enjoyed the visual style, and the exploding asteroids were nice and satisfying. Favorite part was the random spoopy ghosts, haha.
Glad you liked it! Totally agree that the lack of audio is a shame. I just ran out of time and burnout hit hard near the end.
This is a really polished entry, well done (especially as your first gamejam!). The parts I struggled most with were the controls and the length of the first mission -- I feel like you might lose some players to this. Did you experiment with WASD being relative to the screen instead of the ship? I feel like that would have helped me a lot. :)
Length of the mission is definitely something I would reduce in retrospect. The controls are a bit love them or hate them - maybe a toggleable mode for screen relative? I did experiment with it but found that it made controlling the ship less fun for me. Thanks for the feedback!
I agree with Minachn on the first mission and general incentives. Also, the inaccuracy of the weapon can be annoying sometimes. Although controlling the ship was difficult at first, it became very enjoyable after a while. After discovering the direction marker on the minimap, navigating the asteroids at max speed was a breeze. Overall a fun game!
Thank you! Good point on the inaccuracy, I hadn't considered it - good step might be to orient the lasers so they land where the cusor points.
This had a nice clean art style and feel. Tell anyone complaining about the lack of sound that you wanted a 100% realism space audio design haha. The spoopy ghosts were a nice touch too.
"It's a feature, not a bug!" - my favourite line. :D Thanks for trying, glad you liked the look and feel!
Great game
I have reviewed it intensively :"
Pros:
- I like the colors and the art (idk but it reminds me of chicken invaders)
- Animation is fluid
What is good is good, there isnt much to talk about but maybe consider making the game multiplayer.
Cons:
- Toturial is not very clear.
make toturial teach player the game play bit-by-by
like making the simple tasks (move forward, shoot that rock, ..etc)
OR
making it much simpler so it is playable by anyone without one
OR
instead of making it a gaint pile of text, put simple images that are always visible to the player
- No sound at all
At first i thought it is muted but no, there is no sound at all, no music, no sfx no anything
leaving it like this make the game feel dead
-First task is verrry long
- controls are abit confusing :'(
A&D button are pretty much useless and make useless momentum in weird directions
- the player doesnt get rewarded for completing tasks which seem of no goal (i understand the dyson thing but it doesnt feel satisfying)
consider making ship upgrades or build new constructions near the base with these resources collected (it will become addictive)
Thanks for the thorough feedback! The points about reward for completing tasks is spot on. If I wanted to make this a real game, I would absolutely look towards adding ship upgrades. Something to spend the ore on. I think the core loop is fun and quite addictive, it just needs some reason to push the player to keep going beyond the story.
Congrats on your game! turned out quite nice. It was fun seeing it being developed
Thanks for trying it!
Congrats on submitting your first jam game!
I think it looks amazing, some details like the spinning space station and the minimap are awesome!
Picking stuff up could be a bit more user friendly, like a bit bigger pick up range. If I shoot something it flies of and is kind of hard to chase.
Thanks for the feedback and glad you liked it! Chasing the ore was intended as part of the challenge; I wonder if making a more recognizable minimap icon for the ore could help to mitigate some of the unfair feeling while retaining the challenge...
probably would help, worth a shot
This one turned out cool, it's a lot of fun to fly around. The space ghosts are a good addition lol
Thanks for the feedback, glad to hear you enjoyed the spoopy ghosts!
