The game was fun to play and also the controls worked very well. You should probably spent a bit more time on Graphics and Audio... But for a first time submission, that already decent work. Hope to see you in future Game Jams.

Developer

Thank you very much! I appreciate the feedback and I am for sure going to join future game jams.

I like the black-white graphic style and the dash mechanic. It's nice to have some abilities to move faster!

I personally find it uncomfortable to use `x` for inversion. I'd go with  `Space`.

Developer

Thanks, I see why space could be better

Very nice game!

As has been said by others, the player doesn't move with the platforms which makes it a bit awkward. And personally, I would have inverted the movement while walking on the ceiling (I actually did on my submission and I think it feels more intuitive).

Apart from that, the game responds very well to inputs and I would love to see more of it! :)

Developer

I did invert the movement on the ceiling. What do you mean it's not inverted?

Submitted

I meant I would have made the controls work the other way when you're on the ceiling so the character moves to the right of the screen (instead of its own right) when you press right.

Developer

I don't really understand you, I made the controls inverted when on the ceiling, so if I pressed Left it would go right on the ceiling.

Submitted

:) Sorry, I think I'm not clear. Indeed : the character moves left when you press right while on the ceiling. I meant that it feels more natural to make it move right when you press right, even when on the ceiling.

Developer

I know it would feel natural, but I wanted to make it so everything inverts, the colors, the gravity, the controls. For it to be a bit harder.

Congrats on submitting!

The inverting of gravity works well and I liked that the movement was inverted at that point as well :D

Good job Glubker You will go far! ;)

Not bad at all!! I'm not sure what the moving platforms were for as I made it through the game without needing to use them. The jump is very floaty and needs some work but other than that it is a solid effort and ties into the theme well!

Congrats on your first entry! One thing is that for sounds emitted by the player or any music you should probably be using AudioStreamPlayer nodes, rather than the "2D" version, because you don't want positional audio for that, otherwise weird panning happens which is quite unpleasant to listen to.

Nice first entry. I got a few comments: 1) It would have been nice if you could enable the full screen button on itch. This is something you can do even now. 2) The moving platforms don't behave as you would expect in most platformers: you can't stand on them and allow yourself to be moved. As it is, it's not that fun trying to balance yourself on the platform. 3) Control feels too floaty imo. They don't give a feel of precise control over the character. 4) I manage to finish the game with little struggle without using dash at all, so dash seems a bit unneeded with the current levels.

Developer

I did notice the moving platforms not working properly, as a new game developer with godot, I don’t know how to fix those issues.
