Thanks for the kid words! We had alot of fun and had to reign in lots of ideas to avoid scope creep! We also had lots of sprites that will go into an update so that the character will visually change too!

A nice little platformer, with a good tie into the theme. I didn't seem to get the logic to the levels and was never sure which one I was playing though. It would be nice to have the levels in order on the level select screen, and those that are yet to be unlocked grayed out. I seemed to play the same level 3 times without going back to this screen - I'm not sure if this was a bug or by design.
Programmer here! Thanks for the kind words!
With regards to the arrows, its totally possible to pick up enormous quantities of arrows all in one go! Two of the houses spawn arrows every 8 seconds - we forgot to randomise their location however! This would mean the arrows only appear as a single sprite, which is "effectively" a pile of sprites in the game world. And since the world persists between runs its highly probable you walked over said pile thinking you're only getting a few extra arrows!
We have noted your QOL improvements and really appreciate the time you have taken to give constructive feedback!
An interesting take on the them. Some visual feedback on how much damage the satelites were taking would be nice, so when multiple ones are being attacked we can evaluate which one to defend first. I like the variations on the weapons. The music is nice. A very simple pause menu would be nice (although this stems from me trying to eat soup while playing... ^^) Astroid like controls are fun, however a slightly reduced turn speed would have been nice to allow slightly more control with the arrow keys. Great job with the graphics too. I like the particle effects and the music fits the visual style. Finally, I am a big fan of integrating the tutorial into the game, so the start is a big plus for me.
Overall, a solid little game that has provided me with 10 minutes of fun! Good job :)
Simply outstanding.
However, having worked with some of you before, I am not in the slightest bit surprised.
A fantastic twist on the them. It has a Transistor vibe to it which I loved, with transistor being one of my favourite games of all time. The game play is intuative and easy to grasp. A personal hightlight is the game world. It really conveys the modern setting you guys are going for.
The only point I can criticise, is the pause menu using the default Godot theme. Next time you guys team up, drop me a DM on discord and I will be more than happy to do the UI ;)
first thanks for playing!
Sorry you got bugs, but thanks for pointing out everything to be improved. As for FOV, we wanted a claustrophobic feel, however if we would have balanced the enemies better perhaps it would be a little easier and kept our claustrophobic feel.
I will look into why you are getting damaged after dying and thanks for pointing this out to us!
Neon Pong, the first game in my sereis "Coding Classics with Godot" is avaialbe to download for free now at https://jwr26-games.itch.io/neon-pong
A game with "Pong" in the title should need no introduction, so there is a short gameplay clip on my youtube channel below!
