Very clever presentation! The menu already teaches the simple drag-and-drop mechanic, which is great! I wish it was the same when it came to explaining the rest of the game. Good work!

Thanks! Yeah the toughest part with this project was creating clarity in the game design without explaining every tiny detail. If we continue developing after the jam we'll do our best to rework it :)

Submitted

Short and really fun game! The menu was a great idea too.

And nice use of the wildcards, I wasn't expecting that!

Developer

Thanks! It sounds like you found the twist ending :) Thanks for playing!

Nice, cool mechanic and unexpected take on the theme :)

You should have something like infinity mode for sure.
Well done!

Developer

Yeah! Of course since this is a game jam we ran out of time so we didn't get to reconsider other game mode options/styles, but we feel an infinity mode definitely makes sense! Thanks for playing!

Submitted

Yep, totally understand that!

Hey, cool game!

First I thought it would be an automation clicking sort of game. This was refreshing :)

It felt like you were planning on making much more content, would have loved for some more of the console to prove its use. I only saw a zombie, an orc and a knight before victory :)

The menu was fun too, innovative!

Cool submission, well done!

Developer

Yeah! So funnily enough, we didn't realize it was possible to win the game that quickly before submitting. So if you were to start the game with low quality zombie meat, then the game would continue on. Just a small design flub on our end :) thanks for playing!

I loved the game. It was fun and original. I only wish it was longer. You should look into turning this into a full game after the jam. I would definitly play.

Woo! What a neat game. I really love how you've interpreted the theme here. Great job! It was loads of fun trying to balance everything and get through the waves.

Was a fun play, breaking the creatures into pieces and assembling them to fight for you. The interface, the controls, they tie in really well, although it was a bit hard to understand how to properly butcher the monsters. Music's cute and the implementation of the controls in the menu a was nice touch

Developer

Yeah, after seeing others play the game, we realized that the butcher is definitely the most confusing part. We'll clean this up if we continue working on it. Thanks for playing :)

Submitted

Haha great job.  very interesting idea.

I would add a second butcher.  I saw the more oven space, but I never needed more oven space, I was cooking all the parts the second they were made.

very fun though.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, conceptually we thought that we would want more ovens to cook at multiple times assuming meat takes multiple turns to cook, but it turned out to be unnecessary for this version and we ran out of time :)

Submitted

Yeah I totally understand that.  Great job though!

it took me a bit to figure out how to cook the monsters and just what it wanted me to do, wasnt really sure what the twist was. But i had a ton of fun really cool idea.

Developer

Thanks for trying! Did you get both endings? :)

Submitted

I didnt even know i could get two endings
