That was a really well made physics puzzler! The level design was really clever, though the timer on some were very unforgiving. The center lock seemed impossible to get unless you start moving the lock the exact moment you reset.

Making the timer less prominent and the puzzle itself as big as possible would have helped a lot. It was quite hard to see them at the default size, which added some kind of unfair challenge. It might be an extension of the same but it was also pretty hard to figure out where the ball was on the first try of a level, so maybe a bit more contrast or an initial outline/ping graphic to highlight it would help.

Still, I did play through all five levels and had fun doing it! I'm sure nothing bad will happen now that the grimore is unlocked. :D

I liked the mechanics and the controls worked well for me, however I found the time limits to be very strict. I liked the interactivity of the little maze in the tutorial.

It was hard to look at the mazes due to the textures on their walls looking similar to static noise.

I like the idea of this game. The timers are pretty tough and I had trouble finishing any of the levels although I got really really close once!

As some others mentioned, the graphics might have been helped by thicker lines / solid blocks, or maybe changing some camera settings? The aliasing sometimes made it hard to tell where things were and strained my eyes a bit.

In terms of gameplay, I would have liked the maze rotation to be a bit more responsive - either by skipping physical motion entirely, or maybe by adding a much larger impulse with more damping? As it is, the inertia of the maze feels kinda sluggish and it was pretty easy to overshoot and have to correct when I was rotating.

The mazes themselves seemed well made, and I would have loved a “free play” mode or something like that so I could try solving them without the time pressure! Overall I think it’s a nice game that would benefit greatly from just a few small tweaks. Congrats on the entry!

So the gameplay in this is really good, the only problems i have is that the resolution on the puzzle itself being so low makes me strain to see what's going on. The music can get quite a bit repetitive. Otherwise, good entry!

Its somewhat frustrating when the ball doesn't go where you want, but really you just need some patience.

The maze was pretty small and a bit hard on the eyes when rotating. And the music got annoying so I stopped playing after unlocking the 1st lock.

But good job making the maze not easily solvable by rotating in just one direction. Also the moving blocks make the maze a bit more interesting.

Hi Robot_With_A_Hat_Games,

Congrats on your entry, I enjoyed it. Finishing a game is not an easy task to do so I'm happy for you!

It was challenging which kept me going for a long time, managed to unlock 4 out of 5.

Hope that you can finish many more in the future! :)

Good work! The physics work well and the concept is pretty solid. You might wanna consider reworking the art a bit as I was getting a bunch of Moiré patterns every time I rotated the lock. The music was a little grating on my ears, and I found the momentum of the locks a bit bothersome while trying to make precise maneuvers. Besides that tho, I enjoyed myself!

I enjoyed this! As well as the other things people have mentioned, I would like to add that the high beep tones in the music started to grate a bit when I was failing to unlock the locks, but that just might be a personal issue I need to work through XD

Well done!

Fun game, though with the sprites being shrunk by this much the aliasing is not at all easy on the eyes. Solid blocks of color would've probably been a better choice in this case.

I do partially echo the sentiment about the timer being too short, but only for the middle lock. I still managed to open them all, though. Hope I didn't doom all of humanity with that.

Developer

Yeah, I could have thickened the sprites and slowed the timer by a bit. (psssst... search "alchemy symbols")

Really cool mechanic! Unfortunately the timer was moving way too quickly for me to be able to go through the mazes on time.

Developer

Yeah, the timers on some mazes may be a little too tight, maybe, like 5 to 15 seconds, but it wasn't made to be solved first try. Try to plan the whole route ahead to avoid unefficient, "red herring" paths if you play it again.
