The game screen was small for me, but no one else commented about that so must be my browser. I like the art. The enemies were fun to battle.

I liked the game art and animations.
Like others, I was unused to Z/X and arrow movements. It would've been nice to be able to re-map the inputs.

 Good job.

I like the story concept and especially the art was very impressive.

A bit unused to jump with Z which is on the DE keyboard under the 6 and 7. Would have liked WASD for Movement and Space for Jump.

Good job you two!

Nice submission, like the different area and the final.

Only problem was the shot seemed to be blacked by blocks often even though I was able go through without a problem, maybe decrease the body size on the bullet and make a seperate area for the enemy hit detection?

Overall good game

Developer

thanks for the kind words!

I'll have a look into the bullets to see if they can be made a little smaller or better define the enemy hitbox!!

aw i have a 60% keyboard with arrow keys using FN

sadly its not playable for me, wish there was an option to use WASD  for movement

Developer

I'm so sorry to hear you couldn't play! Naively I didn't consider 60% keyboards when making the game. I will add button remapping and re-upload the game post voting so you can get to play it!

cool experience! when i figured out i could double jump it was easy sailing. love the painterly pixel art backgrounds

Developer

yes the double jumping is the key! I'm glad you had a good experience and I hope you managed to get the ending too!

Managed to beat the dragon, but the game froze, so sadly couldn't get to experience what the ending is like.

The art is nice, and I liked the retro music during the boss fight. Although I can see that there's scaling issues with the game and it doesn't fill the entire screen.

I quite enjoyed the dragon boss fight, although with the amount of health the boss had, I think a second phase would've been nice to change things up halfway.

cool game, the flying guys level was a bit annoying but other than that it was fun

I really like the background art and the sprites are cute too! I played through to the end. Nice work!
