Hey, nice one! "There are no brakes in space, they forgot it when they invented linear motion" is possibly one of my favorite lines from anything now. The visual effects were really satisfying, especially that warp shader the void ships use!

Congrats on the submission :D

this was a fun one! i was really into it while playing. the mouse-pointer movement plus the screen-wrapping did make controlling the character pretty awkward at times, particularly because movement was so 'slippery'. it was fun to blow up the enemies with the paint bombs. I got to 85. nice work!

I'm glad you had fun! Thanks for the feedback

Ooooo, digging the paint interpretation of the theme! The use of color is excellent and satisfying to splash around the map. Will say, I had a lot of difficulties controlling the ship. I also didn't know how to move the ship for a solid minute.

Regardless, good stuff~!

I'm glad you liked my take on the theme! The difficulty with controls is a thing I'm getting a lot, I need to work on that next time.

Thanks for your feedback, and thanks for playing!

Fun game, I got a score of 31. I thought fighting the void of black paint with your paint was clever

Fun little game! Cursor controls for movement with screen looping and no brakes took some getting used to,  but the painting mechanic was really neat!

(Minor bug: repair pickups don't despawn on game over.)

Developer

It's not a bug, it's a feature! :D

Jokes aside, I'm glad you had fun, thanks for playing!

This is a great idea and I like how the 'canvas' evolved throughout the game! Thanks for sharing! :)

Glad you liked it!

Aaaah, It's fun, but ti's so hard to control the spaceship. The situation quickly went out of hand as I flew past enemies at high speed!

I think the difficulty of controls is maybe because the spaceship can exit the screen and come back to the other side. If it does that, it's acceleration input is suddenly flipped, which make it hard to slow down once you reach a certain speed.

I'm wondering, were you maintaining the thrusters ON all the time? They are meant to be used in bursts.

And yeah, the screen wrapping causes issues like you describe. I had so much on my todo list, I kind of forgot about that and got used to it ^^

In any case, thanks for your feedback!
