Really fun concept!

A tutorial would have been really nice, to help those of us not familiar with Conway's Game of Life. What was the game loop? I couldn't quite tell the consequences of my actions, other than depleting the charge of moving without a trail.

Great work!

Really epic visuals!! Very polished feeling to the game. I didn't realize that there was an ability to remove the trail until the second time I played, so maybe a lil bit of instructions/tutorial in game could have been nice. But it was really fun to zoom around in superspeed and collect the glowey orbs. Great work on the jam!

The visuals are absolutely juiced! Very polished and satisfying game feel. It wasn't super clear if the Automata pixels had an effect on the game play or were just an environmental effect, but it was definitely fun to zip around and watch them change with the beat. nice work!

The visual style is incredible. I love that you based it on Conway’s Game of Life. I really enjoyed the gameplay too.

Fantastic job!

Thanks, it was hard coming up with even a semi functional game loop with cgol, especially with the time I had, but it sure was a fun challenge.

I also tried to only use Godot visuals and make it as juicy as possible, without any external art, learned a lot about some nodes !

Thanks for the feedback !

REALLY liked the vfx. Captured the arcade vibe very well. I am a fan of CGoL, so this was great. I think that this is a great submission for not having a lot of time:) I think you could expand it to have the cells like start to break free of the background and chase you or something HAHA

anyway GJ!

Nice to see a fan of cgol!

It sure was hard to come up with a functional game loop, but a fun challenge.
like you say it could definitely be expanded upon since there isn’t that much gameplay for now. Your idea sure sounds fun !

Thanks for playing and your feedback.

Beautiful vfx!

Thanks !

This game captures the essence of "arcade game". It's so juicy, and it's just squares! It's a pleasure to play. Liked seeing the patterns emerge. Though after I got the hang of it, it felt aimless. I quit after 20k

Thanks for the feedback !

I didn’t have much time for this jam, and it was hard to come up with a game loop around cellular automata.

I wanted to implement more features to make it less repetitive, but I had to finish on Saturday and still had the menu, settings, and all the sfx to implement, so I just focused on trying to make what I have as Juicy as possible, which I hope got somewhat accomplished at least.

Thanks for playing, and giving critical feedback!
