Fantastic art and animation!  The papa duck's face stressed me out so much I had to hug my dog!  Definitely not a fan of the controls, I would have greatly preferred pressing to go in that direction but  not a huge issue since there didn't appear to be any punishment.  I also would have liked an unfogging minimap to help me keep track of things easier.  Overall it was still a nice experience, good work!

Haha thank you so much! Yeah the controls are definitely one huge complaint and it is one of the things we want to fix asap, along with providing some help with map navigation. Huge lesson learned is to playtest before the day of deadline hahaha. In any case thanks for playing and we appreciate the feedback!

Playing this was a treat. The controls seemed a bit odd, but I got used to them fairly quickly and there did not seem to be any punishment for being sloppy on the controls.  The music is amazing and the ducks swim animation is beautiful!

Developer

Hey thank you for playing and for the feedback! Yup, the controls are definitely getting changed in the future :'). Very happy you liked our duck animations!

ALSO– the Linux zip file was missing the .pck file, but I grabbed it from the Windows file and that worked fine.

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I apologize for the missing file in the Linux zip, we didn't have a Linux on hand to test it out. I'm happy you were able to find a workaround though :)

Amazing, art, music, and overall vibes! It was a little frustrating trying to find the original cave once we had all of the ducklings, maybe a little wayfinding help would be nice.

Wow! The art, the music, and the use of light in this game is incredible! Of the games I've played so far from this jam, I think this game has the best atmosphere. You did an incredible job setting the mood.

I only have two minor complaints: 1) the controls were a little unorthodox and I found them hard to get used to, and 2) I had trouble figuring out how to exit the cave after finding all my ducklings -- I kept swimming around looking for an actual exit to the cave.

But really, those are non-issues. This is a great little game, and honestly I think it's a special one. You did a great job!

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback! I agree with your points and we are planning to update the game after the voting ends to make everything a little smoother and easier to understand. Glad you enjoyed the atmosphere!

Love the music and general atmosphere!  I also really love how the ducklings follow your path and make the same loops and turns through the water as you

Developer

Thank you ^^. Learning how to make the ducklings follow was pretty challenging but I'm glad it ended up working haha!
