I really wanted to have a running win lose tracker.. maybe next time xD
I am not going to list all the things missing as I am sure you are well aware of most of them and of course the game would be "better" with more mmo things. What you were able to do in the time frame is amazing!
Gliding from the mountains was really fun for me. I did not get to talk to the duck.. I was shunned.. but had some help from players in game with how to get around.
I agree with the feedback below so I will not repeat what has already been said.
First of all congratulations on publishing your first game! Even if the game has some issues it is still a worthy achievement to be celebrated!
I fell out of the world - there should be something in place to keep this from happening or handle a reset when this happens. I also thought the game crashed on the last level.. But I think maybe I just died as shooting the area with the stick gave me a win game screen.
Definitely keep up the work, this is a fantastic start!
Thanks for the jump scare warning and full screen mode. I would not have been able to read the text without it. The game was fun and the first time I saw a monster it did raise my heart rate! The sprites are pretty cool and I love that the monster has a bit of color! As others have said it is a little like a walking simulator as it is now, but a great foundation!
The only point for killing enemies is bragging rights with a high score and I can understand not everyone being motivated by that alone.
I think that many people are probably looking for a more literal use of the theme. I specifically did not want to use a black/white or light on/off approach to reach the theme and tried to think outside the box / do something creative with it.
Thanks for playing and the feedback!
This was amazing. I have actually played it several times over the last few days trying to beat my previous runs. This definitely lives up to its namesake in terms of perceived difficulty, and just like a souls game some things become trivial as you learn the mechanics behind them. Job very well done!
