Game Description
Inspired by Star Fox, Litecraft Orion follows a rookie pilot in a neon-soaked space war.

How does your game tie into the theme?
From the theme "Tower," I asked the question: what if future cities were fleets of skyscrapers in space?

Fun game. At first i didnt realise that i can turn around and flew far into space, but then i got the hang of it. Managed to kill all green ships with 1% health left :D

Do a barrel roll :D

Not sure where the Tower theme was supposed to come in, but I'll always enjoy a good Star Fox-inspired romp. Had some bugs in the browser version, including some freezes and one (I think) crash. The audio also seemed to get choppy when a lot of effects were trying to play on top of each other.

On the gameplay, I think adding a bounding box would be a good idea. I felt like I was outside of the planned stage most of the time, so I probably missed what I was supposed to do. Also, while the aim assist was a good idea, I think it's a bit too loose. I saw the yellow crosshairs lock to things my actual crosshair wasn't near, which was a bit disorienting. Lastly, the dialog boxes tended to get in the way of some of the action.

But neat idea, and some bugs aside, not a bad execution! Cool stuff!

I was literally saying yesterday that more games should let you shoot projectiles down.  Nice game

Very cool game, well done. I Struggled quite a bit on the second level with the green lasers. I think it would have helped some if the action didn't start until the dialogue was over, but it was really cool to have the story and characters in your game. Great work!

Great idea i like this game!

I very much enjoyed the Star Fox style controls and the neon-soaked atmosphere, a great aesthetic. I also liked the semi-auto targeting system, great work!

Performance, in the browser version at least, was patchy at best. With lots of freezes to the point I thought it had crashed once.

As others have said the link to the theme does seem a little tenous but overall it's a huge achievement for a week game jam.

Thank you for the kind words!

unique concept, great visuals, awesome music, solid core gameplay loop. heavy stuttering and performance issues, also wasn't clear on the theme. putting that aside, i think it was great!

The performance issues are definitely disappointing. I thought it was mostly triggered by shader compilation, but based on a quick look in the profiler I think it's actually just struggling to render the shadows. Definitely something I'll patch when the judging period is over. Thanks a ton for playing!

Solid game but where's the theme? It felt very forced which sucks because you made a cool game. Perf got bad during some of the battles and combat was happening during dialog so that could be cleaner.  It was hard to know what I needed to be shooting but fun to blast things when I figured it out.

Thanks for the game.

Thanks for playing! Yeah, the theming definitely could be more present - I really appreciate the feedback.
