God, that one room was awful in the best way. You captured some of the highlights of PT into a lo-fi 3D game. I am so glad I snuck this in before the end of the ja. What a game! The end was perfect imo in "pull the rug out from under you" kinda way. You also absolutely nailed the directional audio in my opinion.
More please! Great first time!
Damn. This was by far the creepiest game I played all jam. The audio actually made me really nervous, and my heart was starting to jump out of my chest. I can't believe you managed to do so much with the limited textures and objects you had. Fantastic use of shaders and phenomenal use of audio. 5/5, only thing I would change is making it longer.
thanks for playing my game!
Thanks for compliemnting my game! I tried my best and gave myself the challange to use little as resources i can but amke the game look good.
So i made most models in godot directly.
Im just curious if i induced alot of paranoia in you?
Wow. Actually incredible. You managed to create such an intensely unsettling atmosphere with so little, my heart was racing in the dark maze room, genuinely. I mean, it is really short, but the ending is just... I loved it, I said "woah" out loud to myself. The PS1 shader is a nice touch, but does lead to some graphical bugs, was seeing some z-fighting on the dresser. All in all, excellent, can't wait to see more from you.
thanks for the compliments 😭
I though my game was kinda lame and not scary at all. And i thought the ending was lame too. Hearing the compliments from others like you made me feel awesome ❤️.
Ill work on the graphical bugs. Later
I took some inspiration for the vibe from P.T. and the overall game. I hope i induced the paranoia in you. Thanks for playing my game!
Hope you play many more of my games in the future! ❤️
This is really great, especially for one of your firsts. I love the graphics, honestly. There is a lot of “soul” to it, and the kind of unreal nature of it added to the stress and unease. I do think some text narration could add a lot to the flow. Great work!
Im planning on adding voice narration in the future (preferebly when my voice doesnt sound like i just started puberty.)
Thanks for the advice and compliments tho! Ill keep working hard!
Cool little game. You did a god job capturing a haunting mood and evoking spookiness with the simple level design and audio effects. I would have liked to play more but I kinda like the abrupt ending atm. I'm not sure if it was the FOV or the walls/object placement being too close to the player but it was a little nauseating. Keep up the great work especially regarding the feelings you want to portray because you've made nice progress in that so far.
thanks ill try my best on the next update (might be a long time till i release it) i was planning to make it longer but i didnt have much free time but im happy with what i msde for the time being. Love ya!
So trippy. I don't know whats going on with the textures but they make the game so trippy. Ashamed to say the lamp got me lol
i put the lamp randomly thinking that people wont fall for it. Guess i was wrong 😭. Thanks for playing tho! Hope you had a good time!
Okay, first of all, even though I followed the development process, that knock still scared the living hell out of me, the door is on my right, so it hit the spot.
I don't know if the graphic style was a conscious choice or not, but it begin to hurt my eyes real fast, and it made it really hard to navigate in the room with the "labyrinth". I don't have much experience with 3D, so unfortunately I cannot give any advice, just point out what I saw. The edges or the models had this weird ripple while I was moving, like looking at low-res pixel art in 3D, and the desk to the left in one of the first identical rooms was vibrating as is the room was constantly clipping through it.
If you resolve the visual disturbances and maybe add some kind of a simple narration (voice or text), this has the potential to be real fun.
i actually made the graphics look bad so it matches ps1 graphics but i couldnt really polish it since i sumbitted it 30 minutes before the dealine. the graphics should look like that yes. also im planning to improve the game once i get more expirience as i said in the end screen.
Thank you for your opinion! i hope it was a tad bit fun tho 😅
Yeah, didn't want to come across as too harsh, I actually had fun playing it, just apparently the graphics style might not be my cup of tea then!
