For a game jam project, this is impressive! I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the lab, and the Daleks were very cool ;)

I think the doors and keys should have matching colors to make it clearer which key opens which door. Also, enemy attacks could be a bit more noticeable (like adding screen shake or a red flash) to better convey when you’re being attacked.

Other than that, the project is really fantastic!

Slimily fun game 😊

GAMEPLAY
Fun little game with a nice concept where you play as a kind of slime monster (judging by the sound). Fortunately, there was a mouse sensitivity setting😊. Crawling around was fun, and the jump mechanism was cleverly designed, though it took some time to get used to. Maybe use some color coding for the key cards as some already suggested to make it more clear

VISUALS
The graphics had a coherent, nice retro style. Looked nice in 3D.

AUDIO
Audio was OK, and the sound effects were very fitting. A background music could perhaps be added t add a bit more ambiance. To increase the eerie or lab feeling.

THEME
The theme was certainly incorporated, as you play as a monster.

Overall it was a solid game jam entry. Keep it going like this 💪

First of all I love the 3D retro grafic! Controls felt nice, mouse sensitivity might be a bit to high, though. I liked the "jump-bar".

Regarding the sound: I did not like the intro music but the sound effects were nice. I would think that some atmospheric music would improve the feeling of the game a lot! Sounds used for player feedback are very nice, though.

I would have loved to have a tutorial and a bit of story. Maybe thats something you could add later.

Gratz on your submission!

You did wonderful work with the visuals. I love 3D graphics like this that look thematic and spooky. The thumbnail for the game is really cute also. The sound effects are also very immersive! Maybe a white noise background track would've been nice? Something like the hum of laboratory equipment, perhaps :) love the idea and think the gameplay could be even more fun with more time in a larger project! The mouse sensitivity was a bit too high for me, so an option to adjust that would've been helpful.

Developer

Thank you! For the sensitivity and volume there is a settings menu by pressing "ESC". Unfortunately we barely had any time to test the gameplay so a lot of things didn't end up working correctly in the final build :/

Very cool! Maybe it would be nice to have doors and keys with colors so that you know which doors you can open so it's more clear where to go.

cool game, took me a while to get use to the mouse movement I taught it was a little too fast. great work. I would love some feed back on my game if you have some time.

Nice Art! It was really hard to figure out which cards goes onto which door. Maybe add some player feedback there.
