How does your game fit the theme?
The player is a ghost! They're the monster that horror games often feature. Further, the ghost doesn't believe in herself... really quite a "your own worst enemy" situation... talk about a real life monster!

Awesome idea and some really cool stuff with the animations on the items being haunted. Was great fun though I did find it hard to jump around some of the obstacles at first! I think maybe the ghost should be able to float through the floors and sort of fly around a bit :D

Tune was nice but maybe a scarier one would be cool, or just when the hauntings happen maybe? Anyways , awesome effort and really cool game ;)

That was great!

I really enjoyed the calm and soothing atmosphere—it’s a refreshing change from other projects I’ve tried. The gameplay reminded me a lot of Haunting Starring Polterguy on the Sega Genesis. The visuals also gave me NES vibes, which I really appreciated! Keep it up!

The game is incredibly cute and beautiful! The atmosphere and the artwork are very pleasant to look at, and the music really sets a great mood for playing.

Personally, I didn’t quite understand how things worked at first, whether I had to avoid the lights, avoid the humans, or keep the ghost close to the objects.

At first, I was able to modify some of the objects in the environment, but I was avoiding the humans. Then I realized that there was a small amount of a mysterious number missing, so I decided to reset the game and try using the modifications when the human characters were nearby. I thought it would scare them, but it didn’t work. In my final attempt, I used all the possible modifications and finally managed to finish the game! It was fun to see the reactions of both the humans and the ghost at the end.

What would make the game much better is an explanatory tutorial about the mechanics and also smoother movement for the ghost.

However, that didn’t stop me from enjoying your game.

Given the time constraints, it’s completely understandable how much there is to do, but I truly believe you did an excellent job with this. Congratulations on the project!

Spooky fun little game! đź‘»

GAMEPLAY
Once I figured out how to haunt, it was fun to pull it off on all of them. More content would have been great, but for such limited time, it was well done. Controls were not super smooth but good enough.

VISUALS
The artwork was cute and colorful.

AUDIO
The calm music provided a serene experience, and the sound effects were fun.

THEME
The theme was incorporated...check...

A nice little jam project. Keep it up like thatđź’Ş!

First of all thank you very much for commenting on so many games! Its so nice that you do that and Im trying to give quality feedback as well... :)

I love the idea and I like the gameplay. Jumping height can be a bit higher. I saw a few people mentioned your pixel art. I must say that I really loved the spooky animations!! I was curious to see what the next animation would look like! I loved the haunted painting!! That being said I really do think that you should try to work with a color palette (one of lospecs for example) - that might improve the impression of your art very much.

Nice job! :D

I can't that it took me so long to realize that I had to click on the objects to scare them lol ! nice game for 15 hours work lol . I spent 15 hours on an idea and then scrapped it , another reason why planning / brainstorming is important. good job !

Developer

haha sorry about that, next time I make a game I'll be sure to include more explicit instructions!! thanks for playing and leaving feedback. planning / brainstorming is super important, helps narrow the game to something manageable!

Very good idea!

The concept of the game is very cool, I'm sure with more time the game would have become even better.

thank you! <3 yes, with more time I could've figured out how to make the hunters an actual enemy without ripping my hair out lol
