Super fun game!! The concept is really good and I can really see you expand on this idea! Atmosphere, sound effects and pixel art were on point! A bit of cheating with the ui pop up to explain the behavior of the ennemies tho hahah. The one that whistles louder really frustrated me haha I was so mad, the ending is a bit short but I'm glad I finished the game! I also did a pretty similar game with rooms generation like you if you want to try it out!
I got lost, but still enjoyed the game :-)
I was a bit lost what to do in the game like some other I read here below. Thought I needed to find the campfire with the wood. But after reading here played again and check..
Visual the style was very pleasing and good! Also the Sfx fitted good and add to the environment.
Controls were ok!
ZERO UI and theme was slightly checked also.
Overall a solid good jam entry!
Excellent art style and design. On the bridge level the stack of wood appeared to be in water. I was afraid to go in water but realized it's not drowning me. LoL. Overall a nice game which is release ready!
Nice art style, well done!
defo the greatest art ive seen yet, i love the pixel art light. the mini plot is cool and everything feels so polished. but like most of the other people playing the gameplay could be a lil clearer and there really wasnt an end but maybe i didnt find it. the theme rep was okay, adding more than just dark atmosphere and lights would be cool but nonetheless great game.
there is an ending, its def better explained in the post jam version, feel free to play that if you want
really nice art
After realizing what im supposed to do the game was fun, I got a bit lost for a while, however the art and sounds are amazing this game has such a nice visual feel to it!
After reading the comments I get what the game wants. But it's just very unclear what to do and what the point is. for new players The idea of going out, gathering fire wood for your campfire and that you have to survive against monsters is a very good idea, but I think the execution was not that great(Probably because of the time as you mentioned). Overall the atmosphere, art and sound design is really great! I know that time was limited and that's why I think the game is still very nice!
Game looks great and it's an interesting idea even though I'm not sure what the objective is! And I love the radio!
Visuals and audios are wow! I didnt understood what am i doing in the forest and why am i collecting these woods. It meets the Zero UI requirements. My overall rate is scary!
i like the sound and art
Amazing visuals and audio. Like so good. I didnt understand exactly what to do or what the main objective was however
I got really confused on the path I should take. I travelled all the directions but didn't got back to the fireplace. Really enjoyed the sound effects. They were really imersive. The radio. environmental sound, character breath... *chef kiss*
you couldnt head back to the campfire, since its a lost forest, thats why theres a monster picking you up when you fell alseep, i called it handy, its nice and friendly :3
Great art and sounds, but I actually didn't get the flow that you expected us to get, I mean, if I go right from the fire and them go left, I didn't get back to fire, so its kinda fell like a linear game that the dead is the only possible reason
you have to keep picking woods until you get tired, then when you feel asleep, a thing will pick you back up and put you back at the campfire, tis meant to be a lost forest, also i didnt have time to add a return to camp mechanic
Extreme potential, but I got lost on what to do? Should I feed the fireplace the wood? Carying the wood kills me? Can I get back to the 'hub'?. Amazing aestethics and game feeling, the sound is also amazing.
