I enjoyed this game!

I didn't notice you could upgrade multiple times at first and was about to get carpal tunnel from all the clicking but after a while I noticed I could keep upgrading and get lots of materials at a time. XD

Nice 3d models and fun game. The sounds were great too!

I placed a building a bit too close to the mine and it became a bottleneck for the little workers, but apart from that I don't think I found any game breaking bug.

Nice work!

Thank you so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed it :D
I probably should've put in an indicator in the game and the description that you can hold left click onto the rock to automatically collect materials while the mouse is being held
Plus, there's also a funny glitch in this current build I left in that if you hold on the rock and then drag the cursor and camera off the rock, then it will just collect materials automatically even if you're not clicking with the mouse anymore :P
I hope I won't be responsible for giving any other future players carpal XD

A good little builder game type! I'm a fan of these, so I enjoyed doing diabolical things to watch the funny number go up. LOL

I agree with the notes on scaling, that's a critical part of the fun factor! Rewarding the player with new mechanics, new ways to challenge their ever-growing funny numbers, and new funny numbers tend to be the largest engagers, so I feel like you have a solid base for doing that. The central flat green field upon which we build could take some biome-level TLC and become this gorgeous place that your mass of pemaloes detonate and turn into rock (rock) factories.

A crazy idea I got while playing this is, what if you could control the pemaloes you amass pikmin-style, and leverage them as a resource towards larger unlocks? 😱-- but enough of that, I had a great time with this. Thank you for submitting! 🙇‍♂️

Thank you so much for playing (and for hosting the jam too 😊)! I appreciate the new ideas and suggestions too!
Even though there's several of jank things about it right now, I'm happy with how the baseline turned out and I'm super excited to experiment with new ideas if I come back to it >:D

Obviously has some balancing issues due to the lack of scaling, but still enjoyable! Good aesthetics in particular. The placement range seemed to be busted for me and allowed me to create structure masses - seemed to happen by leaving the collider of one building while still hovering over the collider of a different building?

Was fun to mess with though, my favorite creation was the, uh, YabaiRyS summoning circle??

Lots of room to expand on this concept :)

Thank you for playing! Glad you had fun with it! (and that you had fun with placing buildings around like that LMAO)
The building placement mechanics are definitely a little bugged at the moment (you can also build stuff in other areas you're not supposed to, like the grey cliffs and the rock itself if you move the camera enough), especially since it was slapped together after I spent a bit too much time trying to look through Unreal Engine tutorials haha

Really like this game! Balancing wise though i think the Hammer upgrade is waay too strong xD you can basically ignore the workers since you literally get like 1000 ore per second (which you can still keep upgrading). My Suggestion would be for the upgrades at least to make them more expensive the more you buy them. Also it would be nice if we can destroy buildings we placed because i missplaced my first hammersmith which was too far away from the rock and the pemaloes focused the farther away hammersmith rather than the 2nd one i build near the rock. But i can see this game become REALLY addicting xD

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the suggestions!
And I figured the upgrades would've gotten a little bit broken haha
I did originally plan to have scaling upgrade prices (they would've multiplied by 1.69 each time you bought one) and movable buildings, but I couldn't figure out how to implement them on time (they're definitely both high priority features though if I do return to this game)
Glad you enjoyed it! :D

I like the concept of automation and base-building games.

My suggestion, perhaps adding something to force decisions, like a dangerous area or an impending event within the next two minutes, could make choices and outcomes more crucial to the gameplay experience. Nice work.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and for the suggestion!
It is an interesting suggestion to think about and to potentially experiment with.
(The thought of putting in some kind of Zenloss sounds really funny)

kkkkkkkkkk I like building games kkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Besides the obvious I want more content, I think adding hotkeys to buying buildings would be a simple but immediate improvement. The building stats can also be moved onto the right with the construction menu, so that the player can immediate confirm the number change when they buy the hammer upgrade.

By the way if you to do more stuff with this project.. I can help with some hammering animations :^)

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
The hotkeys and stats suggestions are perfect since I was already thinking of redesigning the UI afterwards to look more like a real-time strategy game (like Command & Conquer). And thank you for offering to help with the animations too! I will keep it in mind if I come back to this game
I would definitely love to keep working on this project even more after the jam >:)

Really cute clicker game! Its simple but effective at what it does. The celshading style really pops in this game, and the 3D models are really well made!
Would be nice to see a little more eye candy, maybe just a simple effect when clicking the rock or just show numbers flying out or something.

Thank you so much for checking out my game! Glad you liked the visuals too :D
And thank you for the feedback too, I was planning on adding a shaking effect to the rock each time it gets hit but I completely forgot about it by the time I submitted the game heh
I'd definitely love to add a lot more visual spice to the game if I work on it again!

Played til the end really cute and fun. I did find my lil guys getting held up, around the rock. might be the placemetn of my first hammersmith. But still really addicting. well done.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you for playing! :D
Yeah their movement tends to get a little finicky when you have a lot of these guys present on the map (there's not much accounting for if there are any other Pemaloe present nearby). If I were to continue working on this game again, I'd definitely spend more time polishing up the movement/pathfinding of the little guys.
Glad you enjoyed it though :)

Silly little clicker game! The sound effects for clicking on the rock are really satisfying, and watching the pemaloe move around so quickly was very fun

Developer

Glad you enjoyed my little pemaloe game! I was actually scared the clicking sounds were going to get annoying while testing it beforehand haha, but I'm happy to know you found it fun :D
