Great game! I love the art and it was pretty challenging - one thing i'd change is maybe add more indicators to what cowboy is going to shoot next aside from them raising the gun and their color, maybe some exclamation mark next to them showing danger. Although I still enjoyed the game a lot - great entry!!
Yeah I did actually consider that instead of the shooting animation, since it's as simple as adding a worldspace text object to the prefab then running a scale animation. I just ended up not, so it's something to add to the list of cleaning things up.
Thaks for the feedback
A western fps, I like this concept quite a bit! The music fit quite well, the bandits looked cool and gave an indicator of who to shoot first, I do wish that was stated in game. the levels have some nice variety even in the same general badlands vibe which is nice. Aiming is a little hard due to the sensitivity I am aware that is due to the bug you had noticed, even then it doesn't get annoying until the last level. Good job!
Known bug!
Leaving a comment on my own topic to say this. Turns out the camera is linked for FPS for some reason (this is a unity package) and the game has vsync.
If you have a 60Hz monitor you have my condolences, I understand if you leave a negative review, though if you do want to play then lower your mouse's senstivity a tad if you can.
Wow aiming is quite hard, but I keep trying to get further. Nice game.
I liked the concept of the game, but I think the sensitivity and drag of the aiming was a bit too high for my taste. I still liked playing the game either way!
Fun game! Music was good and the graphics looked fantastic. Well done!
This was delightful! Thanks for the tip on enemy prioritization. Mouse movement was maybe slightly slow, and it seems like the hitbox for the enemies was only on their heads. Only time I died was when I shot a yellow guy in the chest and it didn't count. Partly my fault for shooting the red guy next to him first. Art style is great. Altogether, this was straightforward and a lot of fun.
really nice, the game is intuitive, maybe too much x) I succeeded all the levels the first time, my only regret is that I would have liked more level, good job !
Fun game! I really liked the art style of it. The only issue I had while playing was that aiming and sensitivity felt very weird. You could add an option to change the sensitivity in the future!
Great concept and execution!
Great concept and execution!
Really fun game! Though, im still sad there is no toot feature lol.
My only real complaint is that aiming around their heads seems a bit scuffed in terms of hit detection. I found it best to aim at their bodies and completed the game just fine. Luckly for me, the sensitivity felt at home. All around, a good submission!
I had a ton of fun playing it haha! I’m surprised you had time to make a 3D game. If it had more levels and sensitivity issues fixed, it’d be a great small standalone game. Awesome work!
I could say the same about 2D games hah, they take ages for me. 3D is just something I'm better at. It's not like there's much movement anyhow.
And maybe I will eventually! I should probably fix the sensitivity at least, when voting ends.
very good game, but mouse sensitivity issues are very annoying.
It was too short :( I really had fun playing it. From your previous replies I understand the mouse movement wasn't done like this intentionally and if it was fixed game would feel so much better. Especially as a player I wanna feel like a lightning fast gunslinger but game makes me feel like a sloppy and a little tipsy one :D (It's also kinda goofy and fun idea too btw). I liked the environments so much! The night camp scene was so cute!
lol i love the name xD very fun to play, i really enjoyed it :D
The slight mouse and volume issues have been pointed out so I won't harp on about them.
I would like to add though that the music felt out of place in the gameplay- I would have preferred either silence or something more dramatic and classically Morricone to really nail the vibe of old western movie shoot-outs. The gunshot noise is also a bit generic and in your face and some sound effects for exploding barrels/killing enemies would have been some nice juice.
Gameplay wise, it's *really* good. The three second wait serves the double function of letting you get a bead on the level and of building tension. While it could be taught to the player a little better, the Purple > Yellow > Red thing is smart and could built upon in an actual game.
Speaking of, thinking about how this could be developed further gets me pretty excited. There are tons of possibilities that I'm sure you've already thought about so I won't just list them like I'm being visionary.
Overall, really great work! Good luck in the results.
Yeah I'll admit the music was an afterthought, and I couldn't quite figure out how to make a sorta bit crushed gunshot to go with the music so it ended up being generic. All things I'll glady take on to improve.
And who knows I may end up adding more stuff. Albeit probably with more polish and looking less like an unabashed unity game kek
A little too short, but it was fun to play :) All graphics, sounds, and gameplay are good enough to keep me playing.
I just read your instruction saying that color matters (I forgot about it while playing). It would be nice to somehow show from which direction is the closest danger or something - it's a little hard to see which one of them is gonna shoot next.
Good job!
Yeah if I'd had more time I'd probably make the targets into a proper tutorial to teach the player the colours properly, rather than it just being in the description. But hey thanks for checking it out.
Nah, no problem. At my first gamejam I realized that a lot of ppl actually don't read the instructions in the game description. It looks I am just like them now :D
Oh no I fully expected people to not read the description, but figured I may as well include it just on the offchance someone did check.
It's why a tutorial would have been much better,
Nice shooting range, good visual, greate audio, but camera movment is bit ridiculous
Yeah I feel like I'm gonna get that a lot. Something tells me my mouse either is on low sensitivity, or my bigger monitor effected it somehow. Will know for next time.
mouse movement seems to be a bit slippery but didn't ruin my experience, music is a bit loud in the main menu, but overall the game was great, very creative.
Yeah for next time I'll need a way to customize sensitivity, since every mouse is different, and a volume slider would certainly be appreciated too I imagine lol.
But hey thanks for checking it out.
