I have no words to describe this masterpiece. End of comment.
Jokes aside, the work behind this project is huuuuge, it's impossible to not recognize the quality and commitment put in this project right from the first impression. MissingSeven's artwork are amazing and the CrawlingChaox's writing is engaging. Not only that, the battle system is also original and jam-themed (despite a slight imbalance of Seliqa which however doesn't spoil the game experience at all).
I wish you good luck, you've done an amazing job!
Thanks a lot, Thund! I'm glad you enjoyed the game ^ ^

Thanks, my duck friend ♥
I loved this art style~
A game teeming with strategic depth that still manages to make every mechanic in it streamlined and intuitive.
With a minimalist cast, intuitive color palette and an incredibly broad variety of different combos you can try with skills and statuses, you never feel truly stuck thanks to the number of different ways you can approach combat and change your tactics if you ever lose.
Ouroboros is one of the games who deserve not only to win this game jam, but to be sold. Is really that good. Replayable with lots of skills and combinations for your characters, unique graphic style, you can rush to the end or unlock everything, lots of dialogue and descriptive texts, good music…this game has everything. The only nitpick I have with this game is to make the floors of the sanctuary a liiiiittle more recognizable and memorable. But it’s a nitpick, the game is perfect as it is. Really good job, I hope that will get what you deserve (to win and getting more opportunities as a game developer) and it was really a honor to playtest this game.
Aww, thanks Michael, you flatter me! The game isn't perfect but I did the best I could. I agree with you: the "levels" should be more recognizable. I'll improve that after the jam!
When it’s hard to find flaws, the game is near to the perfection, I think! Can’t wait for your next work, then! ☺️
Fantastic work ! I made a first impression video playing the start if you want to check it out, but I'm looking forward to finishing this one: https://youtu.be/nan4TdbjLNY?t=887
Hey, thanks a lot for this comment and for the video! I'll check it as soon as I can :D
Let me know your final impressions if you decide to play it till the end ^^
Art work is top notch! At times it felt like there was a lot of dialogue to get through to play again, but it sort of makes sense for the story that needed to be told. Overall this is definitely a top entry, I'm sure of it.
Thanks a lot, I'm glad many people are enjoying the art style and the gameplay. ^^
I know that the dialogues might be a little long, but I had to tell some important info at the beginning of the game. Thanks again for playing!
I really like the gameplay and the art style you used :D
Hi, thank you very much! :)
A great game with a great style and great story.
Interesting concept. Nice artstyle with cool gameplay mechanics. Well done!
Thanks a lot! ^^
Another great game from MissingSeven
Cool game, simple and short but really interesting story and gameplay, had a really good time playing it.
The art style is also very aesthetically pleasing on the eyes, with combines rpg and board game mechanic which I am impressed and I am intrigued at seeing what the story has to offer next.
Absolutely incredible. I loved every moment of the game.
Incredible gameplay with a unique hook that provided a lot of options, incredible characters that were fun to see bouncing off each other, incredible aesthetic that manages to be both retro and unique, absolutely incredible.
This game makes me rock-hard. I love it!
Thank you so much! I just finished watching your playthrough of the game on Twitch, and I’ve gotta say, that was actually the first time I’ve felt this good about my writing. The fact that you immediately picked up on the tone of the Narrator (and that you had a good laugh at some of the jokes) was the first proof I’ve received that the thing works. So thank you for playing!
Hey thanks a lot! I watched the vod of your streaming and I'm really glad you enjoyed the game so much! :D
I'm aware of some balancing issues of the game but, with only one month to work, I decided to focus on the aesthetics and presentation. I'll fix the balancing after the contest! Thanks again for playing, I really appreciate that ^^
loved the artstyle, had a really good time playing it.
Thank you! Yours has a great artstyle too! :)
great entry! high marks for presentation for sure, it's very well written and paces out its developments to keep you engaged
also seliqa is cute
Haha! Seliqa bae ❤️
Thanks a lot, I appreciate that! I still have to try your game: it's one of the most interesting entries, imho! I'll let you know my thoughts about it ^^
this is dope : -)
THIS IS GREAT
Finally some Q U A L I T Y.
Hands down one of the best games in IGMC Contest 2022, can't recommend it enough.
