Any pre-made assets?
I used a premade library for the camera shaking system, everything else was created myself using tools like JSFXR, Bosca Ceoil and Aseprite.

How did you interpret the theme?
The high water pressure in your submarine means you have to repair your ship rapidly before water rushes in,

Took me a while to learn which tool does what. And the gameplay is a little repetitive. I saw lots of comments on your game so, I knew you know that.

But I would to tell you that I like the entire atmosphere, sound choices, and the arts you make for this game! It's a well-done and polished game!

Very interesting submission and really based on the theme! Congrats on delivering a solid experience, really makes you feel "under pressure" and nervous with the atmosphere. As other mentioned, the controls and relations to tools could use a bit of tweaking, but it's certainly on the right path, good work!

Great work, little tips for the future tho:

-Bit confusing to figure out what tool is used for what, took a good second to figure that out.

-Lots of mouse clicking, bit to much.

-Sometimes things spawn in the corners, intersecting with the sides making it hard to see what type is there.

-Very repetitive gameplay, just the same thing over and over again endlessly, for the sake of score. Gets boring real quick and leaves a bad after taste. Just needs more meat to the bone if you go that direction.

The tools that you are meant to use for each damage are displayed in the help menu (Theres little icons next to the tool-tip showing which type of damage goes with which tool). There is alot of mouse clicking, next time I will make sure to dial it down a bit. Thanks for playing!

Simple and effective. Great sound design. I lost many times xD

I like the idea, but i couldn't do anything, even after reading some comments :(  it's hard for me to click some consistent amount of times - maybe that was the problem for me)

Developer

Hi, your meant to use Left-Click to grab and hold items, then Right-Click to interact. some damages take more interactions than others (eg you need to hammer dents 8 times or it will turn into a crack). Its not really possible on trackpad (if thats what your using)

ooooh, I'll try again than, thanks)

I got it! it's a bit like Amateur Surgeon, really fun! thanks for the game)

An explanation which tools fix what damage would be nice. And maybe making all of them hold instead of click to spare my mouse.

Developer

If you click the help button, it shows a little UI of which tool goes with which damage type. I was going to make them all hold, however having most of them spam-based means that its alot less waiting. The welder did have to be hold logically tho. Thank you for playin

Ah. I didn't see that. I thought the left to use, right to drag thing was all of the help since there was no indication there was more I just started.

Developer

I thought of swapping them around but didn't end up doing it. I should probably name the help button somthing like tutorial aswell... oh wel

Really cool game and actually quite fun!

Took me a bit to realize how the game worked tho lol

some music would've been nice as well, but other than that, really solid

This is actually fun!

1. Interesting implementation of the theme!

2. Visuals really keep you entertained with lots of particle effects and post processing, and of course sprites themselves are really good.

3. Audio is done a bit weird as far as music is concerned: you decided to put music in the menu, but not in the actual game, I would (and I did) do vice versa. I mean, I think it would make gameplay itself more enjoyable.

4. Just a tiny little thing, but I thought it could be worth mentioning: it took me few tries before I understood the controls, like that you have to right click to use an item.

Other than that, it was really fun to play! Good job!

Developer

I had an idea for the music speeding up the lower health you had, but it ended up not working and being rather repetitive so I cut it out. The controls are rather weird, I debated having right-click being pickup and left being interact, but ended up just leaving it in its current state. Thank you for playing, im glad you enjoyed it!
