Unfortunately, I couldn't play it because of the scaling issues... Soundtrack seems ok, though and the idea is good. Regarding the artwork, sometimes less is more, you know what I mean?.. But you seem to be aware of that fact (from what you've written on the game page), so kudos to you! Thanks for sharing!

Great game! A little bit too hard for me, I couldn't manage to pass level 2, but everything works really great! I only find a little frustrating the fact that sometimes if you're too near an edge the character doesn't jump, causing me to die very often. The art and sound are amazing, i loved especially those in main menu and credits page!

Developer

So glad you enjoyed it! That thing about the jumping annoyed me too, but I didn't really have the energy to work out how to fix it at the time.

Honestly the menu and credits were my favourite part too! I learned so much this time, so I'm looking forward to the next jam.

The game is great! expecially the art, but the scaling was messed up for my device

Developer

Oh, sorry to hear that! We didn't really have time to work out scaling, especially given that a bunch of our assets didn't match, but hopefully next time we'll be able to tackle that. Thanks for trying it out!

I really like the music and art style! The parallax backgrounds was a very nice touch and something I wish I had enough time to implement in our game.
I would propose thinking about how to make your hazards readable, the sawblades? bubbles? stuck to walls basically blended in to the background for me and I died at least once to each and every one because they didn't pop out enough - at least for my tastes.

Developer

Glad you liked it! That's a great point about the hazards. Unfortunately I have almost no ability with pixel art right now, so I wasn't prepared to take on any modifications, and it's so hard working with a bunch of mismatched free assets. It was a great learning experience though, so I'm excited for the next jam!

Music is bangin'. Definitely a rage game, but the platforming didn't feel too bad. I couldn't figure out what was killing me for the longest time, but then realized it was those bubbles on the wall. So sad when I get sent back several checkpoints for holding down run after dying. Very cool atmosphere+Art, and I enjoyed the level design as well!

Developer

So glad you enjoyed it! Yeah it is a rage game, partly just cause it was hard to manage all those different assets and get collision and level design right. I'm treating it as a learning experience though, and it was fantastic fun to make!

The fact this was published 3 days before the deadline is impressive!
The game is fun but can be very hard, i feel this was intended so it's okay
