"Oof! Ah! Ngh! Gah! Pfff! Dnh! Khk! Tfh! Yee! Bwh! Ughhhhh..." it's the perfect summary of a Monday morning :D
In bad days like those, this game is a little gem of friendship and fun, thank you so much <3
Oh no, don't barrel roll down stairs on Monday mornings!
Very glad you enjoyed it :)
May we all find out raisin debts! :) I loved these two dopey friends, their conversations were perfectly silly. Just a heads up that I did run into a technical issue where I wasn't able to scroll the page if the text went beyond a single screen. I shrank the text size and that got me through most of the story (I think/hope), but I couldn't actually complete it. Still very much enjoyed what I saw, nice work!

Thanks so much for the heads-up about this, I thought it was solved but seems only partially so. I've fixed it up and will update after the voting period, alongside other fixes :)
Hahahahah this was so absurd and fun!
RAISIN DEBT! This was so much fun. As others have said, it brought to mind a number of beloved authors and settings. What a lovely surprise!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
This was hilarious, thrilling, and captivating! I really enjoyed seeing the story of these two little guys unfold. It was fun trying to wrack my memory for cockroach abilities during some of the choice points.
Thank you, I'm really glad you found it enjoyable :)
Hihihi, this was a fun little....pastiche, maybe? Very charming wee fellers/cockroaches, who I dearly hope find their future raisin debt. Good work!
Thank you :)
Awww. I liked it! What's not to like? I like Tolkien. I like Kafka. I like cockney.
What's better than this? Just a couple of
guysurukhai beingdudescockroaches.Bonus tip: Increase the contrast by making the text brighter and using a bolder font.
Glad you liked it! And thank you for the tip! I'll tweak the font and make any other such changes after voting closes.
Having played all the non-webGL html submissions, I can now say that this is without a doubt my favorite. It's just so wholesome while remaining humorous. Full marks across the board!
Wow, thank you!
Really enjoyed this! As Avery said, this gives me big Pratchett vibes, which is a very good thing. I enjoyed the characters together and I’m glad you primarily focused on them instead of muddying with too many secondary characters.
I just had a question if the story ends at the seaside? I went to the forest then the seaside, but it ended once I selected seaside.
In any case, great job on this!
Awesome, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I meant to add a little closing scene, or a little illustration with the two of them sitting on a beach and enjoying the view, but by that point I was dead tired; I'll add it after the voting period as it's more than just a bug fix (... pun intended).
Good work! The premise is fun, and the dialogue is kinda Pratchett-esque (especially the "raisin debt" joke). There are enough choice points to feel engaging. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot.
Thanks so much, very glad it was enjoyable!
I love the dialogue here! Some of these conversations were pretty funny, and everything feels pretty natural. I think "raisin debt" is my favorite thing in this entire story, it took me a bit to realize what that meant. Also I really appreciate being given another try when I mess up, it helps keep things moving along!
Thanks for the lovely comment! Humour's a challenge to get right, I'm glad it landed.
i liked the tension during the initial action scenes where i kept wondering when/if the cockroach's fabled toughness/longevity would come in, and it did! i also appreciate learning a new word, "palp". thank you.
Thank you! Yep, 'palp', I never thought I'd be looking up cockroach anatomy. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
